I don't know if they're a thing, but have been following them over the pandemic.
Regardless of their quirks, it's cool to see them do something together and get along. I do find it interesting how Pops is more set in his ways, and the kid is willing to expand his horizons ... there's kind of a silent tug-o-war, but ultimately Pops is happy to see his son prosper. I can see the kid being one drop of liquid away from making a full on "break" (not from loving his father, but the learned behavior).
I like these guys. They are very polite. They do cuss a lot.
This episode is not their best, as they seem to have left their constructive criticism in the car. They liked fried doughnuts filled with Lucky Charms.
And the show is educational: "They have organic bananas... they have to do something special to make them organic.."
