Talk about your Neppo Babies, congratulations on being born, your Daddy snuck the Colts out of Baltimore in the middle of the night.

Google....Among his purchases is David Gilmour's Black Strat which he bought for a cool $3.9m, Jerry Garcia's Tiger for $957,500, the Stratocaster that Bob Dylan played at Newport Folk Festival in 1965 for $965,000, and also the Gibson SG that George Harrison used on Revolver coming in at $567,000

The Jim Irsay Collection on X: "“Tiger” was Jerry Garcia's primary performance guitar from 1979-1989. Of all his guitars, it has been used in onstage performances the most, and it was the

Worth checking out Bob and The Wolf Bros. Lots of guests onstage right now.

Thought he was going to roll out the Bobby country tunes but Truckin-DS so far. Nice.

Truckin->DS->NFA.

All three with Lucas. Margo joined for NFA.

Pretty good little "set".

I predict some people will be losing their shit later....

They will when the surprise act hits the stage

Indeed Paul.....

Pretty Dang Good So Far       ____ another farm aid.

Bobby taking a nice long look at Margo when she was banging the tambourine on her tushy.

Just tuning in. I'm not familiar with this event, is there more than one stage and the webcast jumps from one to another, or are these just really short sets?

And if just one stage are there breaks between acts to reset the stage, or is one immediately after the other?

SICK ~ Last Dance With Mary Jane ( petty rip ) Margo coolyes

One stage Tom. It's at Deer Creek.

Ah yes. Maybe I should have looked closer/actually read the thread title.

Good morning Lance!

Four song Neil Young set?

Buckle up kids!

I'm guessing Billy Strings for the Special Guest.

This time the special guest is actually.....Special.

Joni, Dolly, Phil?

Zimmy!

Maggies Farm!!!!! surprise

Dylan in Da house

It takes a lot to laugh, It takes a train to cry

Ballad of a Thin Man smiley

Mike Campbell on lead guitar, trying to follow Bob's unconventional arrangement of Maggie's Farm.

Another four song set.

Maggie's Farm

Positively Fourth Street

Ballad of a Thin Man

That was way kewl!  Loved Willie's set.  He has amazingly light feet and nimble fingers for a nonagenarian.

Thanks for the stream, thank you Farm Aid, and most of all thanks to the farmers!

Heartbreakers Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench and Steve Ferrone along with guitarist Chris Holt and bassist Lance Morrison from Campbell's band The Dirty Knobs backed Dylan on "Maggie's Farm","Positively 4th Street" and "Ballad Of A Thin Man".

Nice... love Bob at the end of Thin Man, wait guys I'd like to play this geetar for another lil bit before we're done.

first 4th Street in ten years, longer for Maggie I think

Now THAT was quite a treat.

- Maggies LTP: 2011

- Positively 4th Street LTP: 2013

- Ballad of Thin Man: 2019

For a minute I thought the entire set was going to be in the dark. Bob loves being in the shadows.

Classic moment on Maggies when Bob started with unique /phrasing, catching Mike and the Dirty Knobs by surprise. They are on their toes and catch on immediately, adjusting their timing. Great stuff.

Was it?  I thought he sounded horrible and looked worse.   yikes.

Yes,  it was

Willie's set was fun.  For 90-years-old, dude can still play and sing. His playing was actually better than when I saw him about 10 years ago, but dude seriously needs a pick guard on his guitar.   And it really was a family affair with Willie calling out his kids to take turns on their songs.  Everything is bullshit!

The best thing about Dylan's set was seeing him play the guitar.

The worst thing about his set was his guitar playing.

I just got back from a weekend at Outlaw Festival in MI on Friday and Farm Aid on Saturday. They were in my backyard. Wolf Bros were great at Outlaw, strings and horns were there, Weather Report Suite and Tomorrow Never Knows were beautifully trippy. Bobby played all of Willie's set, and Waylon Payne, Jody Payne's son, and Bobby were both facing Willie all set, giving him the respect he deserves. There were snags, Bobby's mike wasn't on in Bobbie McGee, they all got a verse, but Willie had really nice leads and his classic song list, at 90! I loved the whole family playing at Farm Aid, "take the lead Dad", and got to love Willie's bullshit with Micah's song. I was sad that Neil's set was so short but I love his passion to make our world a better place, talk all night Neil. When he asked us what was our favorite planet I yelled "Uranus" but he didn't hear from the lawn.

Dylan was a huge treat, I loved it, he plays and sings however he wants and that's fine with me. There was no introduction as every other guest was introduced and the pavilion screens were off for his set. We were lucky, the lawn screen was left on, not sure if someone forgot to turn it off. Dave Mathews had a great guitar player with him, Tim Reynolds I think. Dave's songs can be too much of the same for me but I enjoyed the set. The Dave Mathews fans were really annoying, talking through everything but Dave. After Bobby's too short set we tried to continue singing with NFA and there were only a few takers. There were more uncool people than cool, but the cool people we met were great, and the uncool people were buying $22 drinks to support the farmers. Vendors were all volunteers, leaving the money for the farmers, the cause was very moving throughout.

I like your review Ice Blue Rose! You should give more of them.

Great review Rose!  I enjoyed what I got to watch...  caught Bobbys and Zimmy's set, Neil was acoustic, Willie was on, loved the format w/ the kids...

Beautiful, Lil. Love that what you wrote really took me there. Wish I'd been listening beside you.

Noodler, how are you feeling? Taste and smell back?

Thanks for asking Judit, sadly still no smell nor taste...   congested, no bueno (and our washtub bass player still hacking up love too, argh!).

saw a pic of barry and sturgil. so cool.

I felt a particular proud moment in my heart as I watched Barry Sless playing with Bobby. Barry is on my Shakey Zimmerman CD from 2003 in the early days of our friendship. To see him on a bill with Neil Young and Bob Dylan really gives me waves of good energy!
