4.5 woke us up. bit of a jolt and a little rock and roll. didn't even have time to grab the shoes and dash out the door. must've been quite strong across the bay in Berkeley where the quake was centered.
It woke me up here in Scotts Valley, but I didn't think it was too close... it felt like being on a big rubber raft on a lake with the small, rolling swell caused by a motorboat on the other side of the lake. Nothing like the sharp, loud rumbling jolts of the '89 Loma quakes (centered just a few miles from us).
