The Drought Ends Tonight

Forums:

Not that drought the other one. With a win tonight the Sacramento Kings end the longest playoff drought US sports -  16 years.

Light The Beam. GO KINGS.

I'm still pissed about the fixed series in 2002.   I will cheer for them.

Looks like they'll draw the #3 seed in the Western Conference, which gives them a first roun matchup against the West #6, quite possibly the Golden State Warriors.

^^^ Which will suck for the price of play off tickets

I thought this was about the weed shortage in the late 80s.

Had Vlade D(ade who likes to pardy) retired by then?

Looks like he left in 2004

sabonis jr is the shit.

sacto is doing a good job of the rebuild the paient way.

you mean when bob horry got the valde tipped ball and drilled a 3 for the win? set the franchise back 15 yrs.

also known as the day the cowbells went quiet.

That is true but sure would be nice to not have to play six people every time you play the Lakers.

I thought the Warriors loss last night put them over the top.

Either way, that team has a ton of loyal fans, including some good friends of mine, who have waited a looooong time for this, so good for them.

They have some fun players to watch and their coach is a good guy, so unless they're playing the Warriors I'll be rooting for them.

The beam thing is pretty cool too.

GO WARRIORS!!!!!!

i would cite some of the numbers being the lebron effect.

also reeves is up there this year in getting to the line. he earns it.

if you look at the lakers post kobe....i mean its pretty hard to say that the league is favoring us. look at the record.

ps. david stern is still a scumbag.

This is why I don't bet on sports anymore

OK it's done -  the Kings just wanted to wait for Keegan Murray to get the record for most successful 3's as a rookie before they clinched a playoff spot.
