Draymond Green...Misunderstood basketball savant

Forums:

Or...

Dangerous, remorseless, garbage human.

Alright Warrior apologists, it's that time again...

Defend/rationalize Green's latest assault.

He is a thug who needs to go thug it up somewhere else in the private sector

Sends one hell of a dick pick, piece of crap should miss a least the next game with his record       Middle Finger on Skype Emoticons 1.2

From 2016 Finals....Draymond Green tapped two testicles too many. The NBA announced on Sunday that the Golden State Warriors forward has been suspended for Game 5 of the finals after punching the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James in the junk during the fourth quarter of Friday’s Game 4. Green was retroactively assessed a flagrant 1 foul for what the NBA called a “retaliatory swipe of his hand to the groin.” The flagrant 1 gave Green four “flagrant foul points,” triggering a one-game suspension. ESPN reports that the league’s crotch scene investigation included “looking at numerous angles of the play and interviewing James and Green as part of the process.”

Old Time Hockey, yea!

Well, at this point the Warriors are staring down an 0-2 deficit, so calling him a Loser seems apropos.

Was at the game last night. Not sure how much they showed on TV after the stomp, but he was going after the crowd in a big way to a chorus of Fuck You Draymond dancing around center court. Then he gets up on the chair yelling at the fans behind the bench. In just about any other arena he gets a beer launched to the head which is exactly what he wanted so he could play the victim. For that reason alone he should be suspended for the rest of the series. David Stern was at the game last night we'll see if he steps up. I doubt it.

On another note that was my first basketball playoff game. That was fucking fun. Go To The Game.

Since David Stern died in 2020 I certainly hope he doesn't step up.

The Warriors are very hard to beat at The Oracle, so there is a good chance this series will return to Sacramento all tied up.  Game 5 could be the key game of this series.

Adam Silver doesn't look much like David Stern.  He looks like he's been doing a cleanse for the last five years.

>Since David Stern died in 2020 I certainly hope he doesn't step up.

lmao

<<Dangerous, remorseless, garbage human.

<<He is a thug who needs to go thug it up somewhere else in the private sector

Looks like the old angry racist white guy contingent showed up to spew their garbage on the zone today.

What you two said: "He is dangerous and such a thug."

What I hear: He is the n-word.

Fuck off,  junior.  The guy is a criminal.  Race is not an issue

I noticed you didn't defend him. How many people has he assaulted on the court?

Obviously need more coffee.

Kings had a better road record than home record during the season, so I'm not worried about them taking at least one game in SF

Why was Sadonis pulling on Green's leg? Am I missing something here?

Draymond won't see any further sanction than his ejection in Game 1.

Now Shawn Kemp, that's a whole other story.

Sabonis had slipped, and he was trying to keep Draymond from getting down the court after Stephen Curry snagged the rebound.  It was a chump move, and earned Sabonis a T.

That was my take on it, Dave. Seemed like Green was just trying to break free.

>Why was Sadonis pulling on Green's leg? Am I missing something here<

He fell to the ground and wrapped up green's ankle. Definitely a flagrant 1 and a tech.  Using Sabonis' torso as a springboard was a flagrant 2 and a dangerous play.

Green has had a long history with ball punching...    so it must be asked of him;  "who's got the greatest, balls of them all"

As to the Warriors front office, that did an extremely sloppy sham job of misinformation against the Trailblazers earlier this year (Payton II trade), only to recant a month later...    I use to be a subtle fan, now give them all Toradol shots, LOL.

Sabonis was protecting his head. Look at this angle before you say any more silly things about holding on to his leg.

https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/12qlsls/highlight_alternate_angle_...

sabonis jr fell and rolled over kinda protecting his head/face. did he mean to wrap green up? i dunno, probably.

he could have demonstratively pulled his foot free to show he was being held.he did not. he chose the chump path as he always does. low class, punk ass move. at this point you cannot argue any of his retaliatory measures are justified.

then being allowed to parade around the court and scream and yell like a fucking psychopath. dude is flat out of control and should be suspended. also, please do not put this ass clown chump on inside the nba. he does not deserve to have any media attention or a side job.

refs were pretty bad last night.

stoked for sacto fans.

> Sabonis was protecting his head. Look at this angle

That's a much more clear picture of what went down. Yikes.

Fuck Draymond and his bullshit dirty foul play. Never could stand that prick.

Any other old fucks remember the old Bill Cosby skit of him talking about his days playing basketball, and he was a goon?

I miss the days of a goon being on every NBA team

^green is not delivering hard fouls. He's more like Kermit Washington.

>>>I miss the days of a goon being on every NBA team

I think the feeling is that with the players today like Ja Morant if something like this happened now it would lead to a Tupac kind of situation so they did away with it.

https://youtu.be/X7r6vXeOfyQ

enforcers do not do chickenshit nut punches.

i'd love for steven adams or someone of that variety lay him the fuck out.

ps. every coach in the league should put their token 5 foul white guy on him and make him go crazy. he takes the bait every time.

Appreciate that other angle, I did think Sabonis should have gotten more in trouble but that angle does suggest he was protecting himself.

Rumor is that Green goes to the Lakers next year.   Turtle, you ready?

His schick is old.   Real old.

>Rumor is that Green goes to the Lakers next year.  <

no thanks.

will take klay though...

look at that video. what a menace. fucking kook.

Kermit Washington? That is a far reach imo. Bill Lambier and Green, born of the same cloth and valuable players to their teams championships. Dirty, hell yea, but they give you 6 fouls and 2 Ts and time off for bad behavior, it's in the rules of the game.

>I think the feeling is that with the players today like Ja Morant if something like this happened now it would lead to a Tupac kind of situation so they did away with it.

the league is more powerful than Tupac, and they will protect the cash cows like Morant, that is how we got to these exciting times of high scoring no defense and league full of guys that can't drain a mid range jumper to save their life.

>Kermit Washington? That is a far reach imo<

Only because Poole wasn't seriously injured, unlike Tomjanovich.

>But with this being the NHL playoffs, Barron was back on the ice less than a full period later -- after getting a reported 75-plus stitches in the locker room.

suck it up buttercup

The NBA has become a Diva league.  Gone are the days when Willis Reed gimped onto the court for a Game 7.  Now we get Zion Williamson taking 4 months off for a hamstring pull, and teams resting their stars on back-to-back games.  Bunch of soft, entitled, sports-entertainers.

sportsball moment

Jordan Poole seen what was coming and pushed Greene before he got clocked. In that situation always lead with the knock out shot and not they push away move.

Kermit ran full court and punched Rudy T in full sprint, and removed part of his face. Rudy did not see it coming at all.

not the same at all

^Other than being an habitual nut puncher/kicker, if Poole would have suffered a serious head injury which affected his career, or Sabonis ends up with a punctured lung, because his rib cage was used as a spring board, the Washington comparisons would be made, imo. Green has been lucky that his dangerous lack of impulse control hasn't yet seriously injured someone.

From Espn.com....

The NBA executive vice president and head of basketball operations, Joe Dumars, said Draymond Green's "excessive and over-the-top actions" and his history as a "repeat offender" were instrumental in the league's decision to suspend him. Here's what it came down to: excessive and over-the-top actions, conduct detrimental and a repeat offender. Dumars told ESPN. That's what separates this where you end up with a suspension.

Green's history -- including 163 career technical fouls, 17 ejections and now four suspensions -- played a significant part in the decision.  Dumars told ESPN: You know what the situation is, but you have to set that aside and look at the facts in front of you. ... Repeat offender weighs as heavy as anything.  Dumars acknowledged that Green's behavior in the aftermath of his ejection -- including a short period of taunting and further riling up the Sacramento fans -- played a factor.  That was some extra onto it that he didn't need to do, Dumars said. Not helpful.

I'm not one to judge the Sabonis sitch, I would of stomped his ass too if he grabbed my leg.

but again the rules prevailed. As much weak sauce as the league has become on the court, the league and players assoc. handles their stuff better than all the other leagues combined.

As Turtle has Said -- A Total Douche Bag KOOK !

>not one to judge the Sabonis sitch, I would of stomped his ass too if he grabbed my leg.>

Like I've read others state, Green should have just fallen down, then Sabonis would have likely been hit with a least a common foul, if not a flagrant.  At least that's what a basketball savant would have likely done.

Mike Brown the coach of the Kings was with the Warriors as Asst Coach for almost all of Draymond's career. He absolutely coached Sabonis on how to get in his head and it worked. Sabonis is no angle, but he is playing game 3 and Draymond is watching it from home, and even when Draymond gets back in the series the refs will be all over him.

That is why Brown is Coach of the Year.

Well finally got Covid. Maybe don't go to a game where everyone is screaming.

At least your boys are up 2-0, Nino.

Hope it's a mild case, and you're feeling like your normal self soon.

Watching the Nets/Sixers.

Embiid should be tossed for that shot to Claxton.

Embiid grabbed his leg and gave him a rockette kick

Warriors looked fine without Psycho Draymond and all of his drama last night.  They do need to get Gary Payton. Jr. back though to have more defensive stoppers.   Whoever wins Game 5 is winning this series.

Meanwhile, Embiid should have gotten a Flagrant 2 for his kick.  It was literally a dick move.  Joel will probably be named the MVP for this season, but he sure isn't playing like it in this series.  The Nets have gotten in his head.  Still, he made a great block to stop the Nets comeback at the end of the game, and the Sixers are up 3-0, so there's that.

James Harden's ejection was a travesty.  Royce O'Neale's dive looked like something Premier League soccer players do.

Have to think Sixers fans are laughing at the Nets for giving up James Harden for the joke Ben Simmons has become.

The fact that the Kings are up 2-1 is pretty amazing since they have been playing like ass on offense. Their 3 pt percentage is down 10 points and even their free throw percentage is down. The strange thing is they have been playing so much better on defense and on the boards. If they can get their shot back they win, but they are obviously feeling the pressure.

Also all season long the Kings would find a way to lose when they played a team without their stars. It has become kind of a joke.

Fuck Fox is questionable with a broken finger in his shooting hand. Well it was a nice run.
