What made Bob Weir a unique lover?

What's your best "trashed hotel room" story ?

How do you like your eggs?

Good thing she is fielding questions beforehand but that could all go south in a hurry anyway.

Is it true that out of 604 speakers in the Wall Of Sound, they only gave you 1 to sing through?

What in the HELL were you thinking during all those Playing in the Band's??????

May I have some of your remaining Owsley stash?

>>>What in the HELL were you thinking during all those Playing in the Band's??????

Good question. Hard to understand why those wailing, screeching ear worms were tolerated by the rest of the band. Perhaps it worked well and inspired everyone once or twice, then nobody had the balls to tell her to stop?

She has answered that question before

FFS please be nice.

Don't get me wrong. I like Donna, or at least have no issue with her. My first three GD shows were with her and I thought she brought a certain flowing look and feel to the band. I thought she added quite a lot to many songs and I've always loved her quiet scatting in the outro to Scarlet Begonias.

Even her caterwauling on Playin' is kind of Grateful Dead unique; really bad, but oddly right in an "only the GD could get away with that" sort of way.

I kid because I care.

What show was she hiding under the piano because she was tripping her ass off?

The funny thing is that those PITBs are some of the most epic versions they did and were talking about 3 seconds of song that was as much as 30 minutes long.

Exactly.

Only the Grateful Dead could get away with THAT shit.

What a band.

> nobody had the balls to tell her to stop?

I doubt that. Even though Garcia was known for avoiding confrontations, if he had a problem with Donna's musical contributions, he could have had Parish give her the axe.

Will there be a deluxe 50th anniversary reissue of the Keith & Donna album?

Any chance that you will participate with Bob Weir and the Wolf Brothers at the 50th Anniversary of Weir's Ace album shows at Radio City Music Hall?  You have several credits on that album (Donna Jean Godchaux – production; backup vocals on "Greatest Story Ever Told", "Walk in the Sunshine", "Playing in the Band" and "Cassidy").

What's your favorite memory of your session work at Muscle Shoals Studio?

Did you and the other prominent women in the Grateful Dead organization, such as Candace Brightman, Betty Cantor-Jackson, Eileen Law, and Mountain Girl, feel you were treated as equals by the men?

You and Maria Muldaur were an excellent singing tandem when you performed in the Jerry Garcia Band together.  Do you two stay in touch?  Any chance that you all would record together again?

Lance, you nailed it.  She is very "Donnaesque" in all that it means--my first 3.5 years of GD experience were with Donna on board.  Even at the end when the tension was evident--give me late 78 and early 79 as they still went to interesting places even id the set list got a bit stale. One of my favorite eras to she shows--then Brent shifted too a whole other level

Great question, Mike.

^^^ Pure gold -- way to go, Mike!

Good question!

Donna Jean was inducted to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame same night as Wet Willie.
