Might first thought was, "Shit, that dog can jump this fence." By the time realized it wasn't growling it was bolting in the opposite direction. About Great Dane-sized.
Hüsky used to attempt to chase the local Deer within his earlier era living on the Farm. Two years of Positive Reward training, I can tell H.I.M. "Leave It !!" "Fuggedaboutit" , and He listens. Good Dawg !!
Also He knows that he can't possibly catch Them, and that they would probably Kick his ass. The Bambi Myth is highly overrated. Deer will stomp a typical domestic dog in a one-on-one situation. They are tough animals. You need a few Fast and Large dogs to be able to take down a normal, healthy Eastern WhiteTail Deer.
However, we found an Antler on our evening Walkies, just a two-pointer, but plenty of Snacks in that.
