Does the Capitol Theatre drop tix day-of?

Forums:

the secondary ticket market for Phil’s upcoming run at the Cap is looking very bleak for deadheads on a budget, probably the most expensive Phil tix I’ve seen for a Cap run since he started playing there. Does the Cap typically hold a few tix back and sel them at the box office day-of show? I’m looking for a single to 3/15 if anybody has an extra! Thanks

Yes, but not many...Get in line early..Good luck

Unfortunately It's beginning to look like I won't be able to attend the show. I spoke to ticketbastard and they told me because these shows are technically rescheduled shows from Philoween, I can get a refund. Because the ticket is a will call ticket I cannot transfer it. I would imagine that when I do ask for a refund they might put it back up for sale on the regular site. Keep checking and good luck.

>>>Because the ticket is a will call ticket I cannot transfer it<<<

???

Is this a specific policy for these shows, or with the venue, because you should be able to transfer your will call ticket by giving a copy of your photo ID along with a signed note stating you're allowing the person by name to take your ticket.

I'd check with the venue.

If you show up empty handed looking for a miracle there will be no kindness shown your way.  If you have a few $20's, a sack, a strip you'll get in the door.  There isn't a market for spangers.

the philoween>80th bday tic fuckery is pretty high up on the bullshit meter

Lance I checked with ticket bastard and the transfer feature is unavailable for these shows. And in this day and age I'm not providing a copy of any of my personal ID to anyone.

Understandable, and that makes the rest of it moot, but transfer policies are not set by Ticketmaster, that is a venue/artist thing. TM may have the info correct, but if it does come up as something you want to do I'd check with the venue box office directly to be sure.

I should note that I’m not looking for a miracle. I will pay for a ticket and even go over face need be. I’ll probably get a hotel and make the 4 hour trek even if I show up empty handed, just curious if they usually release tickets at the box office in the hours leading up to shows.

yea in the first reply you got your answer

i am also 4 ish hours away

best of luck !

Go and if you have cash you'll get it.  For this show I don't see any/or many releases from the box office --- possibly mid day of show day?

Worst possible scenario is to hang in Port Chester and get some great grub.  I'm a traditional pizza guy but there something awesome to said about Colony Grill's hot oil with sausage bar pizza.
