What's the scoop? I see Vince H. with Salmon is in Steamboat 2/23. Then LOS in AK on March 2nd.

Hi Kids, David here. I have some news to share. I've recently been diagnosed with colon cancer and I'll need to be focused on my treatment and healing over the next few months. So, disappointing as it is, I won't be able to play at the upcoming Mateel, Warfield and Alaska shows. But not to worry - I’m in good hands and looking forward to playing with the boys and seeing you all again in the not too distant future.

We are sorry to report that the show at the Mateel on Friday, February 24 will be cancelled. Please contact the promoter at (707) 502-4150 if you have purchased tickets.
We are fortunate to have Peter Rowan performing with us at the Warfield on Saturday, February 25. David and Peter's association goes back to the early 70's when the New Riders of the Purple Sage, with David singing, had an underground hit with Peter’s song 'Panama Red'. And over the decades, David and the DNB have shared the stage with Peter on numerous occasions.
Alaska Shows in March:
We are working on a plan for the Alaska. We will keep you updated as we have more info to share.

I LOVE the idea of Peter Rowan with the DNB, but I HATE the reason for it.
But the music abides, and this is why we all must go to the shows and celebrate the moment while we can.
As for Stu with Melvin, at last year's Warfield show it was JK who was the "guest" guitarist, and he played (and played damn well) all show.
I'm fully expecting Stu to be in that spot all night this year.
It will be very cool to see Stu back in the chair he held so well for so long. Stu kills the JGB songs.
