Wow, lush with great shows in the Bay Area.

^Good time of year to visit Bay Area family?

John, it almost happened. Almost. I thought the stars might align but they didn't.

Hearing this might not happen. Was announced prematurely.

Nelson's Freak-Freely Fine Print Rider?

In for NYE.

Edit. Then I read Mark's post. Hmm...

The contract hasn't been signed yet. Hope this happens....

...And who is that drummer guy in the photo?

Oops...

advertised?  they actually sold tickets...

Wow

Wally is playing with Cubensis on these dates... Moloooo!

only bought 12/30 so far.

Now Eventbrite sez 12/30 on sale 12-8 and 12/31 on sale 12-10

huh?

Just got a refund from Eventbrite, LOL

Yeah, I got a refund for 12/30 like 30 minutes ago. But not for 12/31. Lol, it'll work out one way or another. EDIT! Both have been refunded.

Hey Now, Mike - you inadvertently took advantage of the pre-sale? LOL.

Premature Contractulation?...

I got refunded already. At least they got that right.

Well that was a pretty bizarre sequence of events!

what happened to the River Theater?

^not sure it ever reopened after those floods...

Eventbrite is still pimping me:

"Are you still interested in David Nelson Band 2021? Don't miss your chance to grab your spot - popular events fill up fast!"

somebody hold my imaginary space on the rail...

That NYE Cubensis show is $100! I have never seen them but that seems high. Grateful Shred in LA for $35 seems more like it for a casually fun night of GD music.

That's old news and any/all venues across CA play the same game right now, particularly anywhere around LA and SF areas.

Cubensis probably second only to DSO in the Dead cover-band scene. And if Wally is playing with them.....   Also Nate will be there this yr I believe.  Been to a few NYE Cubensis shows and never been disappointed.

Never seen Grateful Shred. Heard they are good.

Well if it should happen, I'll be working the door. Be nice to see you all so soon.

^^^ bonus, yay Peak!!!

Mark I like Cubensis and have been checking em out since 2002 but I gotta disagree> I think Electric Waste Band is in my eyes is just as good if not a wee bit better.  I love when Tom Ryan of Cubensis sits in w EWB and they work Brent tunes into The rotation. Tom Ryan does an awesome Brent.

I saw the pages for these yesterday on Eventbrite, but now there's nothing there (again).

I enjoyed seeing EWB a few weeks ago and would surely do so again. Much like Grateful Shred, the band has good talent and is really big on the low-ego fun factor as well. I look forward to hopefully seeing Cubensis one soon day too.

Best of luck to everyone scouting out this DNB NYE deal too, hoping it soon favorably falls together.

I believe the search is on for another venue

Washoe House !!! Please.

Let them play and open for Hot Tuna at the Freight & Salvage those night........

Electric DNB opening for Acoustic Hot Tuna seems a little anti-climactic. They got it right on the upcoming Little Feat tour.

David Nelson and Eric Thompson will be at the Freight on March 23. Acoustic, of course.

it's been 30+ years since i've seen them.

do they still play Winston's in O.B.?

electric waste is killer, and yes, better than cubensis.

apparently just played their 1,545th monday show at winstons....

Well we'll well

 might as well

Any intel on a new venue, is this thing happening?

cancelled my Leftover Salmon at Tahoe Trip but thinking about JGB in Blue Lake and DNB...

How was the shoe??

Probably not Llollo.  I think they gave up looking for a viable venue.

Sheesh, there must be an Elks Lodge somewhere who would want the bar business, LOL.

I'll help them find a venue, as I have time to do the research right now.... who should I reach out to?

So, what was wrong with the Elk's Lodge in San Rafael?

 O clue

tables?
