The band(s) picked on the porch until 3 or 4 in the morning after the show that night.

We swam in Indian creek all day and dripped dry at the show.

A fun day for sure!

I don't believe any audio or video exists of those epic late-night porch sessions... the ol' memory banks will have to suffice

the boys played Navarro in both June 2010 and June 2011... super fun, and awesome shows both years

on-site camping was memorable too... in 2010 Surfdead and his wife got there early and set up camp at one end of the horseshoe pits... after one of the shows, local tweakers played horseshoes raucously all night and kept them up, with the occasional stray shoe hitting their tent

good times...

Lol.

the year of the gigantic tweaker bonfire and medevaced guy who fell down the cliff?

good times...

watching the video linked above... I don't remember this detail from being at the show, but David broke a string near the beginning of Talkin' Back (at about 1:54:38), and their guitar tech Paulie takes David's guitar offstage for repair and retuning, leaving David onstage singing vocals without an instrument

cool to see David boppin' and groovin' to the beat for a few minutes, something he doesn't normally do

later, after Louis Collins, at about 2:10:35 David comments that he never really got to watch Barry play during DNB performances, and that he would have to break a string more often!

thanks to Plf for posting the video

Dont forget ya coozies...1 for $3 2 for $5:)... I cruised through there a few months back and took a saunter about. We definitely left a bit of the thunder bird imprint in that grove of Redwoods...thanks for the link...

Those were great shows at Navarro.   I think it was the second run that I blew my knee out. Was it the first shows with the electrical problems?

((((This is The Zone))))

Great stuff here.

I remember Boris Garcia being a pretty decent band actually. Pretty sure they played with DNB at the barn in fall the following year.

the Sunday show from this weekend ranks high on my list of DNB recordings. Happy birthday Kelly, happy birthday Erica...

Many thanks to those of you who do the work of recording, formatting, distributing, mixing, plugging and unplugging, etc...

Didn't a band called Brown Chicken/Brown Cow play that weekend as well?

We are family

All my sisters and me

I pray for just a couple more doses of DNB, but honestly not optimistic about it
