Did Jerry ever play with an "orchestra"?

Forums:

Or, any type of ensemble (beyond a typical rock / bluegrass configuration) that lends itself as either support or some other form of integration?

Yes, he did. The GD played with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on March 17, 1970.

Good ol' Mike Constanten

Thanks Blues, I didn't read any links but you gave me the best laugh of the day.

Cheers.

And on the subject at hand, I grew up outside of Rochester and knew one person who went to both Palestra shows at the U of R

in this time frame, but never met any head who claimed to be at this show.

Nice clear recording with strange Bible video.

^ Wow never heard that before,  what a treat. Thanks for posting.

Some of that vid is from The Ten Commandments, no idea about the rest.

Jerry's music has always been full of The Word - Nuff Said

"Strange video" an real understatement.

Studio version of the Terrapin Station Suite (although the orchestral parts were certainly added later)
