Definitely not enthusiastic about Mueller's appearance before Congress

Forums:

Other than Trump, is there anyone who has a greater overall knowledge about the scope & implications of the OSC's investigation than Robert Mueller?

If Mueller wouldn't testify before Congress in the absence of a subpoena, does it not say something extremely important about what might be his belief pertaining to whether his appearance before Congress is appropriate in the absence of a formal impeachment inquiry?

If Pelosi believes Trump is a threat to our national security, why is she affording him yet another month to cause irrevocable harm to our nation and the world?

>Other than Trump

If you think that in Trumps rattling noggin the details of his involvement in treason are any more lucid than just another night at the golf club you are sorely mistaken.

Mueller laid it out.  'Hey assholes it's your turn to do something!'     Pelosi has always been Pelosi.  Worthless.

Subpoenas are standard practice in even mundane matters.  I couldn't see any half-ethical attorney showing up and giving sworn testimony regarding a case he or she worked on without one.  I wouldn't read too much into that.

Speaking of subpoenas, here is a project my son has been working on this summer at the Office of Special Counsel:

He was stoked to go up to the Hill today for the hearing even if Kellyanne was a no show.

Too little, too late.  Move along dumbocrats. (and I am not a rethuglican either).

Never too late for

I see quite a few drinking games in the making...

Perhaps I should have mentioned the sentiment of Mueller's public statement that seemed to also indicate he would be a reluctant witness before Congress.   Moreover, the report seems to embrace the DOJ's policy of not indicting a sitting president.   I don't see Mueller looking to deviate from this operating principle & might view Congress' attempt to compel him to speak - in the absence of an impeachment inquiry - to not only place him in a compromising position, but also to serve as an "enabler" of Congress abdicating its duty.

Regardless, that's very cool about your son working on a project related to the Hatch Act.    Did he actually attend the hearing?   I watched quite a bit of it and it never ceases to amaze me how far the GOP are willing to go to "win".

Yes, he got to sit in the gallery while his boss testified.   The Hatch Act Special Counsel is a small office of only five attorneys, so the summer law clerks get a relatively high level of responsibility.    Of course I don't get the details and don't press him on it, but he said he has been working on the Kellyanne file for the past few weeks helping the attorneys get ready for the hearing.  I guess he also stood in as one of the committee members during a mock hearing they held to help prepare.   I tried to watch the hearing on C Span, but I don't have a TV subscription needed to stream it.

I wonder who they got to play the part of Mark Meadows during the mock hearing?  He's a piece of work.  I always watch the hearings on my computer.   Here's the four hour clip, maybe you can see your son.
