I have not been one to chime in on birthday/sickness/death et cetera threads since joining in December, though I really do appreciate the community we as humans can create together.
My dad passed away today at 84 after a steady decline over the last several years. He had a heart attack at home this afternoon. Fortunately my mom is still with us!
Only 3 weeks ago his twin brother passed, and now they are together with their older sister who preceded them by ~10 years.
Many differences existed between us as we both existed in this fleeting space together, but now I can celebrate Jerry's birthday as I remember one who provided life to me and my brothers. RIP Raymond. Long live our mama, Donna!

My dad's twin brother was Roy BTW. He deserves mention for his superior wit and intelligence. (Twins almost named Amos and Andy after the popular characters of the Depression).
