Keep em coming, crusties.

Pigpen was the best and still is

i saw jerry break 3 strings on a deal.

I saw Bobby jogging in Berlin. Have you?

I went to a dead show by myself and sober

We're all THAT bored that this thread had to be created? ;)

Yeah, I've got 1 for Bobby and 1 for Mickey:

I've been posting on a dbmb for 22 years.

Talking about Mickey. I was standing right next to him in a church in NYC.

slacker will always have an inferiority complex from never seeing jerry.

I smoked most of Mickey's weed.

I took a leak next to Hornsby at RFK.

i have Phil's old pass key from club front studios

no big deal

I offered Jerry Garcia my autograph once and he accepted. I always wonder who ended up with it after he passed

Seen all 12 of the the members perform with the GD.

I've visited the pyramids at Giza and they were nothing without the Grateful Dead there.

I lived in California before

I used to take the bus to Jerry shows regularly. Not the Greyhound like Bryen -- the bus to downtown. That's all I got.

(That same bus would open it's doors directly in front of the entrance to the Fillmore, which was way fun when there was no line cause you would be on a florescent light, plastic-seat public bus with weird San Francisco people one minute, the door would swing open, and presto you'd be up the steps and inside at a chandelier lit show with a bunch of weirder people the next. ).

Almost ten thousand days since the last hot Jerry show.

One day I took some acid and played Aoxomoxoa at 78 speed........

Y'all got nothing on me ... John Kadlecik was peeing at a nearby urinal to me at a Further Radio City show.

Wonder what the back story was that the man could not pee with the big boys backstage?

I hitchhiked to many GD shows

Hitchhiked? That's nothing, I used to drive!

They used to check with me about my summer vacation plans before announcing the tour itinerary.

I have Jerry's lost finger.

In a little box.

Don't tell anyone.

I have a collection of Jerry's cigarette butts

I used to win the "guess-the-setlist-game" on a frequent basis due to the fact I had created a deep and uncanny symbiosis with the band.

Was I able to telepathically alter the outcome? I really can't say for sure but compared to the simplistic deadhead drones dancing around aimlessly, I was playing chess and they were playing checkers. Fact.

I once smoked "the same tar as Jerry." At least that's what the guy said.

The Terrapin Crossroads sign that was on the building now hangs in my basement.

Wow Peak, congrats.  You 'earned' it.  Be well

Peak for the win

I saw Jerry at this show.

Best JGB show I saw.

Best Sugaree and Rhapsody in Red I ever saw or heard.

5/20/84 The Country Club, Reseda, CA ticket stub poster
I: Sugaree, Love In The Afternoon, Rhapsody In Red, Run For The Roses, Deal
II: Mission In The Rain, The Harder They Come, Gomorrah, Midnight Moonlight
(Robert Hunter opened)

....I took a leak next to Bill Graham on NYE '89 - and I did also wonder why he had to (or chose to) whiz with the commoners too but, like anyone else, it likely was the restroom that happened to most conveniently appear in his busy path that evening (pre-2nd set).

Saw Jerry walk into a limo April '85.

if you didnt get to see jk with furthur, are you even a real head?

The sign would seem to be a treasure, Peak, that's great. It was beautiful and iconic seen from afar and standing under it.

Ran into Jackie Greene pulling money out of an atm in the lobby of the Nokia after a Phil show

I saw the entire band dissolve and the music just kept going.

i picked organic produce for the band as a day laborer.

Big Steve Parish gave me a (small) blood blister once

Thanks for the assist StoneSculpter.

As for me, I was never blessed to meet the Ross MF James, Is there still time? Life is long....

Saw Kreutzman drive by us in his limo all alone laughing with the hot blonde limo driver as we were getting into the lot for the 9/27/81 Capitol Centre show. 3 nights later they were in Scotland.

Greg's older brother is Laird Grant.

Greg's first wife was Rosie McGee.

GD Merchandising bought and sold my art postcards and bandanas.

I've been trying to make up some beautiful fanciful things but my mind doesn't work that way; I'm stuck with reality.

smiley Judit

Damn your connected.

Grateful Dead are one of the bands I've listened to on drugs.

I am live

Pete that is truly awesome and you deserve it!

Judit you are a real insider and reality trumps fantasy any day!

My threads - I catered the 1981 MSG shows through the Sushi Restaurant I worked at until MSG told the band they could not bring in food from another vendor . True story

At 1982 NYE run I gave Jerry one of my Rose Buttons as he was getting out of his BMW  - True Story

At Calaveras 1987 I bought my ticket directly from Bill Graham who was selling them from a makeshift ticket window in the parking lot- True story

Smoked a joint w Robert Hunter along with a few other Zoners before he played The Chance in Poughkeepsie - True Story

My Cousin was John Cipollina's Roadie for The Dinosaurs , Thunder & Lightning , Fish & Chips and any other gigs he was doing until his untimely passing .

Judit-Are you a Merry Prankster?

No, Mark Sandiegohead. I was doing other things in other places during those times. I'm acquainted with a few.

I catered the 1981 MSG shows through the Sushi Restaurant I worked at until MSG told the band they could not bring in food from another vendor . True story

Those shows remain my favorite back to back shows I was in attendance for. The band was firing on all cylinders both nights.

smoked a j with hunter? that's cool.

I was next to a taxi that Phil got out of at The Tower Theater. True story.

Smoked with Hunter?

I smoked with Wavy Gravy(shoreline)... but i imagine that was not an unusual occurrence.

When I once asked Barlow for a book recommendation; his reply was the Tao Te Ching.

If you only have two minutes, check out minutes 4-6 for some extreme Phil -- he turns up his amp to 12 and challenges Bobby to a duel. Bobby windmills and Phil bombs him.

Sorry, it's pre-HD. (I've posted the story before, but this was an early vid I shot with Digital Jeff).

Judit, was Owsley acid that good?

I even like the song ,France.

Great shot and show Alan. I never saw the GD at MPP but saw a bunch of shows there  before the GD played there.

France is a decent song but the food is overrated and overpriced. Spanish and Italian food  is better.

doolittle, cleanliness is next to godliness, right?

In an important moment, I was screamed at by the wife of a band member, and I screamed back.

And she respected me for that.

She was & is all right.

Starting in 1987, I had the secret ubber innie connection at GDTS.  Never had to mail into the PO box and ALWAYS got the good seatsdevil

I went to San Francisco to see JGB play. As I was crossing a street a car making a right almost hit me, it was a close call. I had my hand on the hood of the car. When I looked up Jerry was the passenger and David Kemper was the driver.

I gave all I had, yet still felt I could have given a little more.

The more that you give, the more it will take

Looks like Bob Saget has everyone beat:

Hard to top having John Mayer as one of your pall-bearers.   Sure, maybe if you got Bobby to walk your dogs, Phil to deliver your mail, Mickey lead your seance, or Billy kick your ass, but it's a steep hill to climb.

doolittle, cleanliness is next to godliness, right?

Que? No comprende?

That's the perfect answer to Doolittle's question.

I guess I didn't get it, Now I do. It's about my Owsley question. I forgot I asked it.

But was Orange Sunshine better?

heard the purple gels greeks circa 84 were owsley's Fried me good
