That's my birthday weekend. But I'll pass. Lol

will there be donuts?

Free walkers for the first 1500

And we jump the shark .....again.

This is a shameless money grab.  At Strings & Sol, however, you will get 5 bands a few special guests (announcing soon), at least 4 zoners and a great goddamned time!  Less than 15 rooms remain.  You can get in with a $500 deposit and we will work out a payment plan.  This is where the good ones and the cool kidz will be.

(sorry for the shamless plug, vivalazone)

Didn't Bobby miss a show in Mexico last year?

This is one pricey event!

All of these destination concerts sound like a fun time for whatever band you are going to see if you like spending $5000 for a concert weekend.

This one is more like $10K.

What A JOKE !

Hi Schnee!

Now if Slash was playing with the band...

....it would still suck.

Honestly if anyone is thinking of going?  The Pool Suites offered at the Banyan are the best value.  Its crazy expensive but you will have a wonderfully relaxing vacation AND shows.

The downside is that you can only go to the Barcelo when their shuttles take you there.  You cant go early and get in line, only people staying at the Barcelo (which is kinda gross) can get in line early

Schnee!   How goes it?  5 special guests TBA at S&S???!!!

C'mon, you can tell me.

We have not booked, thought it was sold out.

Here's the Jambands story on Deadco, for what it's worth. Won't be booking that gig. Holding out for Nelson Band in Hawaii!

Only 2 or 3 special guests to be announced.... and a few super groups for Late Night.  We have some stuff in the works.

We have 15 rooms and a few at Sapphire if you want to book.  Call the office and ask for me, tell them the secret password, baligirl and I will pick you up and get you booked!

.....  but hold out for Nelson.  Hawaii is so freaking cool....

Hellloooo Schnee!

Hey, bad news. We nearly had a Longshoreman in the family, but she chose a different school :(

I really wanted her there. The WC program is on the incline, big time.

This is like a Fyre Fest type of dealio? Cool.

>> This is like a Fyre Fest type of dealio? Cool.

Nah, will go smoothly like the Furthur one did in 2014 and Bob/Billy/String Cheese this year. But costs $$$$.

Hi Schnee, great to see you here.

Thanks Schnee!

S&S is not at the top of our list for various family reasons, but Nelson Band would work better if that materializes.

Sounds like fun, but way too expensive if you break it down to a cost per show per night.

Im leaning towards MMJ's One Big Holiday in Dominican Republic now. Nicer beach and cheaper flight for me.

Custie heaven

Hit me up if you decide to come, Spike.  OBH is one of mine.  We take care of our own.

My issue with all of these festies is that the all-inclusive price doesn't include airfare. The Playin one is over $2k for what, 4 nights? Then I'd have to pick up airfare for maybe another $700.

A normal all-inclusive to one of these places, for 8 nights including air, is less than $2k. That makes for about $250 per set of music.

I don't know, figure out how to include airfare, make the price commensurate with normal prices, plus the addition of music, and I'd be in.

So does this mean no NYE run? I'll be skipping the Mexico resort shows.

drug band festies in 3rd world countries....what coild go wrong?

State Dept. just issued warnings about tainted alcohol at these resorts which cause blackouts.  Will this boost ticket sales?

Don't drink the liquor, its spoiled

this will be a beer run

Should be a great time!

As dozens more report blackouts at Mexico resorts, country says it will act on tainted alcohol

Four days before Abbey Conner was found floating face down in a pool at a Mexican resort, Mary Jo Kuhn waded over to a swim-up bar in the same complex.

On her second drink, she blacked out.

Four days after Conner was pulled from the water, Meghan Gordon and her boyfriend were sitting on stools at the same swim-up bar where Conner and her brother had been drinking tequila on a family vacation.

Throughout the afternoon, a friendly bartender served Gordon and her boyfriend a couple of mixed drinks, then two rounds of tequila shots.

Neither can remember what happened next — vomiting and being escorted away by hotel security.

The two incidents are among more than three dozen that have surfaced in the wake of a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel investigation this month into the death of 20-year-old Abbey Conner at the Iberostar Paraiso del Mar in Playa del Carmen in January.

Sewage system failures plague Mexican tourist destinations

MEXICO CITY (AP) -- Sewage breakdowns in Mexico City's "floating gardens" of Xochimilco and in the country's Yucatan peninsula resort of Isla Holbox have officials warning of threats to residents and tourism.

Holbox's sewage problem hit the pages of major Mexican newspapers this week just as a report was released on the capital's own waste issues, making it clear neither is a an isolated event.

Mexico has a poor track record of sewage treatment nationwide, but Holbox's mayor told The Associated Press on Friday that the situation is critical on the island, whose emerald waters are home to flamingos and whale sharks.
