What is Droner Rap?

Someone was flying a drone close to the stage. Weir told them to stop or they'd have to end the show. 

Take your drone and go home.

Write it off as droned.

Just started on GD Radio, up to MAMU

I can't imagine a drone being brought into the show since they have a bag check there.   Was it someone in the lot?

Thanks for the drone info.  I’m imagining a couple of heads out in the parking lot flying that thing over the stage having a great old time :-)  I’m surprised that hasn’t happened sooner.

Yeah, someone was flying a small drone around during the show, it didn't look large, maybe 8" across, but you could see a little red light on it..... my buddy thought it was an UFO at first LOL.They were too overwhelmed at metal detectors and it would have been easy to take a drone in, they were doing only a cursory look at bags, if there were even doing that. It  didn't matter that I walekd through with phone and other metal in my pockets, the detector dinged but they didn't wand me or anything. 

Security line was absolutely ridiculous, both nights. If you are seeing Dead and Company at a Live Nation venue, bring lots of cold beer for the entrance line. After walking 20 minutes from the campground, we waited about an hour the first night to get through security/entrance gates. Second night was worse, we got to the entrance at 5:40 and finally got through at 7:40.... and then once you get in you still have a decent walk to the Amphitheater so by time we got through the line,  hit the bathroom, smoked a joint and grabbed beers, it was fourth song before we found a place to sit. It was pretty bad, people passing out and others freaking on psychedelics and stuck in a ridiculous line. All they need to do fix this problem is just have more entry gates, one gate and 8 metals detectors or whatever they had is not adequate for 20,000 people.

Once in though, it was groovy. No lines for the $15 cans of beer

It’s irresponsible,  even unethical (cheap ass / stupid) and dangerous for Live Nation to have so few metal detectors

at Shoreline there was staff behind the metal detectors  with very little to do as the flow was slow

at a minimum they should add 50 to 100% more capacity

not rocket science.  And they would have more opportunity to sell $15 beers and other crap it’s kind of a no brainer

Interesting how little mention there is of the music either night..

Music was terrific. Terrapin to close set 1 was hot. PITB>UJB>PITB was hot. The whole here comes sunshine, dark star, scarlet, china doll, dark star sequence was special.... my buddy went down during dark star and had to be carried out of the pit. Powerful music. Did not disappoint.
