I generally like JM a lot, but realized during part of the Shakedown jam that it seemed he was the one who was holding them back from going into full on funk mode. Chimenti had a clav tone going and Bobby seemed locked in well, but Mayer kept his end of things very dissonant from the others. I realize full on funk mode typically doesn't last very long in a GD ensemble; there'll always be one who branches off into "another space" in relative short order, but couldn't help but notice that JM didn't allow it to completely lock into a "funk". Not sure if this was intentional or just a product of his style?

I watched Shakedown , as the webcast always airs first song for free...lets just say i had absolutely zero desire to search for free stream....i only made it about half way thru shakedown..it was bad, and i had to get out before the "shake it down down"....
