Dave's Picks 25 - Binghamton 11/6/77

Forums:

Boy, they're just doing all the legendary 77 shows now, aren't they.

Show has the best Half-Step ever, for my money, and the Truckin' goes without saying.

Surprised no pickup on this -- one of the best shows of a stellar year.

Was anybody there, or do any of this tour?

This Half Step is clearly great but for me the ultimate one was Englishtown.

Will do. Thanks.

Right know they are just selling the full year subscription foe the 2018 Dave's Picks.

I have never done that. Too pricey to not know what you are purchasing in advance, and when it will be shipped to you.

hit this show on the way back to college after Rochester War Memorial the night before, no I don't remember a thing...

We went to all three that weekend and I think that 11/5 is the best show of the three, 1/2 step's included.

Dick sent me a DAT of this that he got from Rob Eaton years ago.  Great show, can't wait to hear this one.

Drop those names!

It ain't bragging if it happened.

Bluelight, the subscription is the cheapest way to buy them. They do free shipping that way too, so it's only $25 per volume.

I can't really think of a Dave's Picks I've been disappointed in, though some of the Dick's Picks lacked in quality.
As far as when they ship, it's always pretty similar times of the year, with a little variance earlier or later. Kinda like GD tours used to be.

I kind of like collecting all the Dave's, I still play CD's all the time.

With a little patience and legwork, they can be had virtually for free.
I usually buy 2 subscriptions, and keep I copy of each sealed. They tend to go for about $50 on eBay, which does cost a little to sell on.

So I guess I get them for a few dollars each. Worth it to me, though, the only releases these days I consistently look forward to each year. Well, these and the Jerry volumes.

So this Binghamton, is it another of the Betty Boards that recently made it's way back to vault?
Cuz I am loving those....The July 78 set is an underappreciated gem.

Lemieux said so in his "seaside chat" video announcing the 2018 subscriptions, and explained that's why they've released Colgate and Rochester but not this one until now. I've always thought 11/4-5-6 would be one of the strongest 3 show box sets they could put out, but the missing reels probably explains why they didn't.

Me too. I've got low gen cassettes and DAT. of a lot of them.

Been on the subscription since the beginning.

Always looking forward to the next one.

Order the 2018 subscription by Monday and save $15.

40th anniversary of 11/6/77 today

If you've never listened before, today is the perfect day to check out at least the Half-Step and the Truckin'
