Dark - on Netflix

Forums:

Has anyone else checked out this original offering on Netflix? It was made for German Television and is dubbed into English - but they did a very good job and most of the time the dubbing is not a distraction.

It shares some concepts with Stranger Things - another Netflix original series - but is different in its approach, overall theme and although part of it takes place in 1986 - it is not an ode to the 1980’s like Stranger Things is.

No spoilers here - just wondering if anyone else has enjoyed this 10 episode show.

Always looking for something on Netflix or Hulu to watch. Will check this one out. Thanks for the recommendation!

The Five (Netflix original series written by a favorite author of mine - Harlan Coben) is a good one too.

I'm watching The Crossing on Hulu (just started last week on ABC) - Lost-like but not really.. 3 episodes on so far..

Great series.

Looking forward to Season 2.

I’ve read a few Harlan Coben novels. He’s always good for a few unexpected twists in the plot.

Thanks for the tip - I will check out The Five. Thanks.

Also check out Black Mirror on Netflix - kinda like a futuristic Twilight Zone (each episode is it's own story)

I have watched all the seasons of Black Mirror. Good call - great series.

cool, I was looking for some new binge material.

Black Mirror is awesome.  Anyone else watch it and think to themselves: this would cause FaceOnMars' head to explode?

thx for the binge suggestions.   Just finished Santa Clarita Diet, which is ok.  The guy Fresco from SCD is also a big part of Ash vs Evil Dead, which is awesome.  Trying the original version of "the Killing" (Forbrydelsen) which so far is great if you can stand subtitles.  Thanks for the other suggestions to feed my addiction!

Anyone recommend Ozark? I've heard good and bad.

Heard the same about Ozark.

Just finished Peaky Blinders 4th season.

They can't put the next season out fast enough.

So keep the suggestions coming.

We enjoyed Ozark, but could not get into Dark. Watched all the seasons of Black Mirror and thought they were excellent.

While completely different from everything mentioned above, we recently watched High Maintenance on HBO. Absolutely loved it! If you haven't watched it, watch the internet series first. Establishes some of the characters on the HBO series.

Ozark did little for me, but maybe that was because I don’t like Laura Linney.

I’m eagerly awaiting the next season of Wentworth, an Australian women’s prison drama. That show is definitely worth watching.

Recommend American Vandal on Netflix.  Very entertaining.

I liked Ozark

I hear that Fauda is supposed to be stellar.

Brian ~ I love Wentworth! Been telling friends about it for years and no one seems to want to give it a shot. Way better than OITNB

I just started 11-22-63 on Hulu with James Franco - based off of a Stephen King book.

The book was fantastic! I have not watched the Hulu mini-series though.

OITNB is kiddie-play-stuff when compared to Wentworth.

It also has amazing writing and acting. The Freak is one of the most fucked up characters ever written and played.
