make it stop.

You know you want to snuggle in to that bad boy after you peel off your wetsuit. That and a pair of Uggs, and you'd be stylie and cozy.

...next thing you know you're all snuggled into replica Weir yoga pants!

Auto-erotic asphyxiation with a Garcia tie, and then a blast of Weir's hot sauce to wake you up. Chase that down with Mickey's weed, rolled in a Kreutzman rolling paper.

Better yet, hightail it outta there in those fancy-fuzzies (...Instagram crowd special, the GD Nike kickers)!

Bet John Mayer's already got his.

its been cute seeing the retro-hipsters in their '72 dodge vans with stealies....

this shot is 5 mins down the road.

I don't want to know what that fucking thing costs.

But it's been decades since they decided they could slap a Steal Your Face on anything and it will sell.

If it does not come with matching slippers, I am going to pass.

years ago, late 90s early 2000s, I custied up for the skull and roses longboard. It took forever to arrive and when it did, the deck was cracked from the nose to the back of the front trucks. I rode it for a few days and sent it back. They did not have any replacements and just refunded me. I went and got a Sector 9 concave pintail instead. I still rides great.

From today's local paper.

I custied yesterday

 Not tooooo ashamed

A wolf and a Roseburg baseball cap from the "Jerry Garcia estate"

I generally hate all that shit but the images meant something to me

The Blanket is better

Garcia Provisions (who owns that?) sent me an email for a cool tiger trucker cap yesterday.... I don't own any new GD gear, but tiger is also my Chinese astro sign, so might just go for it!

Yeah, the blanket is kind of cool, but not 60 bucks worth.

LLOLLO, I believe Garcia Family Provisions is run by Jerry's daughters. Their Garcia Live releases are definitely worth custie-ing up for, and and they have some pretty sweet swag, and t-shirts too.

I've been known to custie up from time to time.   This ain't one of those times

I thought that was decently prized.   Not too into SYF stuff (or stuff in general), but one of my prized possessions is a SYF limited edition Pendleton wool blanket that cost a lot more than $60.

I have an Air Garcia tattoo, so who the fuck am I to say anything?

Made in China, Bradi. Super hetty for sure .

Garcia stuff at least is fair trade at least and is a family run company.

Changing poncho? What no one opens their car door and strips down right there anymore?

I do like the blanket

Truth in advertising?

Does the smirk come with the poncho?

>Changing poncho? What no one opens their car doors and strips down right there anymore?<

Exactly, fabes. That is my basic stance on this pansie product too but I cant really blame GDM for trying to continue to generate revenue on whomever may throw down dollars for it. A damn towel works as well in case there may may chitlins or nazi moms around.

> I thought that was decently prized.

Dammit, Ken, now you've got me wavering on that damn blanket. Must. Not. Pull. The. Trigger.

My current Stealie Blanket, my daughter made it for me so it will always be my favorite no matter how good the Custie one will look in my houseAF95A943-8C64-4389-A6A9-6365B15351F7.jpeg

Here is that Pendleton wool blanket.  Tried to get the cat off for the picture, but he wasn't having it.

The SYF is relatively subtle and blended into the bigger raven image:

Like all Pendleton blankets, its super warm and has been part of my camping and music fest gear for years.  Could use a trip to the dry cleaner.

Pendleton wool shirts used to be all the rage with the California surf crowd back in the 1950s.   In fact, the Beach Boys original name was the "Pendletons."

damn, that pendleton blanket is sick.

No disagreement there, ogkb. I think I need one of those. Cool kitteh too, Ken. It's like he's talking right to the camera.

Pendleton-type plaid wool (or cotton)  shirts have been around for a while.  The clans in Scotland have worn plaid tartan garments to "show their colors" for hundreds of years. They became popular in America in the 19th century when Scottish men got jobs logging and building railroads. They found the plaid wool shirts ideal for the harsh working conditions.

As mentioned above, they became popular with surfers in Southern Cal in the 50s and early 60s. Hippies picked them up in the late 60s/early 70s. I wore them myself during that time (and ever since!).

The Grunge kids adopted them in the 90s. Subsequently they became the go-to shirt in the African-American community. Now they;re popular with guys from all ethnicities and income levels.

I have More GD crap than is humanly possible - prob have at least 8 blankets, 30hats, 250 - 350 shirts od all kinds, 10 hoodies. on pigpen's buffalo coat,  hundreds of posers ( posters lol) / handbills,  stained glass, and hundreds of everything under the sun

Grateful Tea - https://www.app.com/story/life/2021/02/23/grateful-dead-tea-available-su...

“Everything about the Grateful Dead is timeless and iconic, so we aim to pair them with brands that are their cultural equals,” said band archivist and legacy manager David Lemieux. “The Dead have a history of inclusiveness and a strong social and environmental conscience, so finding partners that share those ideals is also key.”

This month, the Dead entered the world of tea with Grateful Tea, a collection from Love Some Tea, the Grateful Dead and Warner Music Artist Services/Rhino Records.

Hand-picked by farmers from the Karen and Lahu Hill Tribes in the mountains of northern Thailand, the tea is free from fertilizer, herbicide and chemicals, and shipped in sustainable packaging with recycled paper and environmentally-friendly ink.

“Love Some Tea is a perfect example of that great partner that shares the same ideals as the Grateful Dead,” said Lemieux. “Their plantation-free teas are grown without chemicals and are then delivered in 100% sustainable and recyclable packaging."

The Grateful Tea collection, $20 per 50 gram canister, is available in six flavors:

Cosmic Coconut, a black tea with coconut

Passionate Prophet, a green tea with passion fruit infusion

Workingman’s Blend, a black tea

Tropical Weather, a green and black tea blend

Ramblin’ Apple, an apple tea with peach

and Minty-O.
