Curry's Buckets. NBA thread

Forums:

where are all the Warriors fans at?

it will be a very interesting off season.

proud of the purple n gold. F the rockets!

the league is in trouble. i was in a college bar during a playoff game. crickets. nobody. they may want to do something if zero people are watching a playoff game in a home town bar area...

Yeah no new stars other than over in OK where no one pays attention. I took a hiatus this season because Kings, but it is becoming ever more difficult to justify $90 a month to watch basketball. We will see how this draft class works out and if the league thinks Wemby is the next LeBron they better shorten the season soon. I just think he is going to end up like Zion and Embid.

We'll see if this years stacked draft class rides to rescue plus I'm sure the NBA is praying for a prolonged baseball lockout next year.

I blame load management and too friendly play on the court.

you know Curry will still be at GS but where will Draymond be? You know the only all star based on his ability to set screens and grab an occasional rebound

Lakers are a shit show and nowhere ready for prime time viewing, the only thing not making this sadder is Philly still believes in the process, hahaha, the process

c'mon Cavs, gonna make it happen

Throw in flopping, and the all star vacation.

I follow the Magic, grew up a Cavs fan in Ohio.
'Magic are already talking about trading Bachero. He really is not what you would call a finisher, he is capable at times but not consistent. He has the ability but does not go hard all the time, and he does not dominate lesser players. but why trade him?

flopping bad.

no calls against okc, bad.

10 different channels to see the games. amazon only? bad.

seriouslee F adam silver and the prime bullshit.

SA is a contenda

not sure why Inside the NBA gives Draymond any time of day, seriously F that dude too. Ball kicking son of a bitch.

not sure if Lake show is a shit show, did pretty well all things considered.

Do we pay AR? i was in the hell yes category until the playoffs...now unsure...

Lebron was, I mean, pretty fucking incredible for a 41 yr old athlete. We won't see this again. incredible.

Got to see the game last night because it was on Peacock, great game and starting to think Wemby is generational like Ohtani if he can stay healthy.

if the knicks are still in it, gotta root for them

philly never should have even gotten that far lol

Were you in San Diego last night, Turtle?  If you were, there was an apparent hate crime shooting at a mosque that left five people dead.  Might have put a dampener on people wanting to go to the local bar to watch hoops.

No Dave, I live about an hr north of SD.

the game w/ no people was during lakers/rockets.

hope the sonics return to seattle.

ps. spurs/thunder will not be easily beatable for a good decade.

I was way off on Zoner Map Tap.

That's weird that the interest was so low in Lake Show land.  With Luka out and Reeves not 100%, it was an uphill road.  I'd like to see LeBron go finish his career in Cleveland and Giannis move to the Lakers.  Same as it would be cool to have Durant finish with the relaunched Sonics.

The Cavs had an epic choke last night against the Knicks.  They're not done yet.  Couple of good Conference Finals should bring the ratings.

well, well, well....

lot's of action....

If you mean the recent trades, there seems to be several grumbling Blazer fans over Ja Morant....

Lakers signing a bunch of white guys. Let's see how that plays out, my guess, not so well. At least they still have Bronny.

where do you think LeBron will end up?

my guess is Golden State.

^Lots of noise about the Sixers and Cleveland

1. Dubs - because easy to get back to wife and daughter

2. Cavs - cause duh.

3. I don't think the sixers can pull it off.   But shit, they just robbed the celtics.

4. Should go to Spurs if he wants to win.   But he won't.

5. And then the Heat.  Would he screw Cleveland twice with the Heat?

Lakers signing a bunch of white guys >>>>

Espn.com has this to say about the biggest name, contract & size....and the position Luka Doncic told his GM to upgrade...

Rob Pelinka responded by going all-in on Kessler with a draft pick package befitting an established All-Star or future franchise player. Neither of those labels applies to Kessler, who is a solid starter and a strong fit for the Lakers' thin frontcourt. Prying a coveted player away from another team in restricted free agency can be a dangerous game, and the Lakers gave up significant control of their future without meaningfully improving their 2027 title outlook.

Good chance that both L.A. teams will suck this year.  The Jazz fleeced the Lakers in the Kessler trade.  At least the Clippers got Brandon Ingram for Kawhi, but they won't go far.

Ja Morant to Portland is a head scratcher.  They already have three other point guards, and they're on the hook for over 90 million to Morant for two years.  Return of the Jailblazers.

As  much as I'd like to see LeBron finish where it all began in Cleveland, I think he winds up with the Heat, where the tropical weather will be kinder to his aging joints.  Giannis, Bam, and LeBron makes a nice front court.  The Sixers are a possibility, but Embiid's knees are a big question mark.

The Hornets did well to deal LaMelo Ball to the Wolves for Naz Reid.  LaMelo doesn't shoot a good enough percentage for all the shots he takes.

Zang - I see him going to the Dubs for the same reason you said

I think Brad Stevens needs to find another Butler team to coach, somewhere that no Boston fan can find him. Is Brad Stevens the savior of The Process? I doubt it, but a hell of a move to pull off for Philly. I just can't believe they could not find a team outside of their division to trade with. Boston did get some draft picks, maybe Steven has a larger vision on moves for this year.

Jimmy Butler could be the chip that ends up in Philly imo. If the Warriors deal him off and salary cap permits.

make the blazers jail again!

lakers painted themselves into a corner...we have like 0 picks the next 7 years....

i like the kid they drafted but also there were C's on the board.

congrats NYN and their fans. Somebody made $ in vegas. Brunson was spectacular and that was lctually fun to watch them take down the spurs.

lebron, at this point, jezus. as great as he was for us...seemed to always hamstring our decisions...we will miss him but the act was tiresome. i think it is kinda a bad look to finish your career ring hunting.

the Fuck the celtics give brown to their X town rival for? p. george?!! wtf??? I mean i hate the celtics and am happy but that was stupid, like wicked stupid...

Lakers just traded the pathetic, overrated Deandre Ayton to the pathetic  Washington Wizards, rumored to be bringing in a walking antique named Andre Drummond as a replacement.

Lebron made the lakers bleed out. Well you got the booby prize of the Covid Cup*

Andre Drummond? He should of been run out of the league 6 years ago..

Drummond signed with the Knicks

The move that can stop the sixers title run

Lebron to the Nuggets, it's over if he teams up with Joker. Both might average 10 assists per game.

ice Tea - calling the Lakers the Snowtime Lakers.
