Not what I heard him say ,he blamed the CDC. He says he was following their guidelines. In my upstate county, the local dem haters are blaming him for the nursing home deaths. No covid-19 patients were sent to this part of upstate N.Y.. It seemed like mostly people got sent back to there nursing home in long island.
He said that he was following CDC guidelines but that's not what they said. Cuomo now claiming the obligation was on the nursing homes to say 'I don't want to take a covid patient'...but actually policy stated nursing homes couldn't know if they had covid or even test for it before taking someone in...couldn't require testing or discriminate against covid patients.
so how does he get away with it? 25% of the nations covid deaths are in New York state alone. But there doesn't seem to be any interest in what happened in NY..1000's of people he put in harms way with his policy that was changed and quietly removed from the state covid response website.
