No disrespect intended, but no I won't. I'm sure he's a fine guitarist but it's going to take more than another good blues player to get me out the door and spending money these days.
Chris has always been a douche. His wife/manager is even douchier. He went from slagging on his brother, relentlessly tearing into Rich while taking all the credit for the Crowe's fame, for playing in a Crowes cover band and then he goes on the road as a Crowes cover band??

I watched the youtube of this band, and it was pretty poor. I hope the show was better than what I saw. The Luther and Marc are the two guitar players I want to see with the crowes. Both of them bring it, big time.
Luther Dickinson was pretty boring as the crowes lead guitarist and boring overall to me. his tone never seems to change and did not fit bc music. no wonder nmas is still just a bar band.
Magpie Salute sounds great except for the lead singer. this band will probably be just the opposite.
The crowes made a great album with Luther. Actually 3, the live version and the studio version of Warpaint, as well as Before the Frost. Breathed some fresh air into that band for a couple years. The shows in that period were almost as good as the comeback shows with Marc Ford, and in some ways better IMO. I get the tone part though, feel the same way about Crapmock, I mean Kimock. Some folks just don't do it for us, and that is ok with me.

Chris is touring without his wedding ring and word is he has a girlfriend. Don't care except that wife is even more anti-Rich than he is. Seeing them in May. Hope they get some momentum by then, but hard to compete with the Marc/Rich twin guitars. Have MPS in the car right now and it is pretty sweet.
