When I Paint My Masterpiece  ~~ w / Nate LaPointe yescoolyes

Paint > Good Lovin w nate LP.

Tuned into this last night for a bit, it was a touching tribute with some great tunes to dance to. Dude had lots of friends. RIP.

Lots of smiles and tears last night. Was a real gathering of folks from the last 35 yrs. Amazing show, turnout and a very special time for most of us there.  A great night for a horrible reason.  Craig has been a friend for 32 yrs and there were some tough moments. And the drive there sucked so bad. But seeing folks that were so much of my life for the time I lived down there, both the earlier yrs and those more recent was worth everything to me. But I never felt so old in my life.   For everyone I recognized( whether or not I remembered their names) there were 2 or 3 that seemed to know me very well and I had no clue. It was embarrassing  as hell.

I can't even count the times I was thanked for the Little Bear Desert Parties I put on in the 90's.  I heard several times"Best times of my life".  I got a lot of love and it was not even close to being about me. But I did get so much from it. And I am so glad that I went.  The hundreds of hugs were amazing.

Oh yeah, and the music was damn good.

But next time someone dies down there(relatives and such)  I will fly down and have someone pick me up at the airport.

I really hope that I never have to go down there again. Made me appreciate my life up here away from all that traffic and confusion and shit.

I hit that youtube link, but it was only live. Anyone found a link to the replay?
