^ Bring it, Noodler!

in a way GG himself is like a punk rock cover of charles bukowski

My friends went to GG's last SF performance where he tried to take a shit on the bar. He is also the answer to the trivia questions of performers who are from NH.

Here's a kind of obscure one, from I think his latest studio record , On The Beach / Boz Scaggs

The Isley Brothers "Summer Breeze"

Live from 1973 on Don Kirshner Presents

Sit Down I Think I Love You -- The Mojo Men

I dug the GG Allin and the LSD links ( the two I clicked on).

Aretha Franklin - A Change is Gonna Come

Not enough adjectives to describe her voice. The best.

More a collaboration than a cover.  Might be the definitive version.

The Band with The Staple Singers "The Weight"

From the film "The Last Waltz".  Recorded the week after the concert at Universal Studios Sound Stage along with Emmylou Harris' version of "Evangeline", these were the last billed performances of The Band.

Yep,  Dave one of my all time favorites.  Eyes and ears turned in for sure.
