2 Down (Manafort and Gates)

Whose next?

Paul Manafort picked Vice President Pence. Fact.

Why did Mike Pence fight so hard to squash the email correspondence between Manafort and himself?

Let's see those emails.

Trump has a meeting with Pence today. Go figure.

Trump Tweet any minute - Fake indictments by ex-FBI directer appointed by a republican president (Bush) because I whooped his brothers "Low Energy" ass in the primary. I get huge crowds!

Next is ham sandwich from what my sources are saying.

If we could get rid of Pence before Trump...

Just like 1973.

Back to back
Chicken shack

And the dream lives on....

Manafort is being indicted for illegal wire transfers in 2012.  Good luck tying that to the Trump campaign.  If this is what Mueller has, it ain't much.

But whatever gets you through the night.  And it's great to see someone caring about e-mails all of a sudden.

Carry on.

>>>>>Next is ham sandwich from what my sources are saying

They're arresting Kerls?

in the waiting room at the doctors office watching cnn. excruciating to watch them try to spin this. "manafort was only with the trump campaign for a brief period of time but it was a crucial period. nothing related to the campaign as yet"

>Good luck tying that to the Trump campaign.

The indictment goes all the way through to 2017, while Manafort was 'the Trump campaign'.

Thom, I believe the appropriate talking point is "he was never even part of this administration"

"..Also, there is NO COLLUSION!" believe me.

4.6

George Papadopolous (former policy adviser to Trump) just admitted to lying to the FBI in the Russia probe.

He like Thom, had said at one point there was no collusion.

That is a guilty plea, bye the way.

> excruciating to watch them try to spin this.

only for Trump supporters. facts matter to the rest of us.

It's Mueller Time heart

Donald hired a foreign agent to be his campaign chair.

Hmmm.

I bet he tweets about how this clears him any minute now.

George Papadapoulos is a hard name to spell...but you should look him up, in related news.

:)

Papadapoulos has flipped, according to Bharara

https://twitter.com/PreetBharara/status/925008887476031488

There’s absolutely nothing in this indictment that has anything to do with Russian “collusion” or with the Trump campaign.

You can hope all you like (it does spring eternal after all) that this is a ploy to "flip" him and make him spill the beans on some supposed "collusion".

But what of there's no beans to spill?  All evidence points in that direction.

George Papadopolous, former foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign, pleaded guilty for making false statements to the FBI, according to records unsealed today.

Papadopolous lied to FBI agents “about the timing, extent and nature of his relationships and interactions with certain foreign nationals whom he understood to have close connections with senior Russian government officials,” according to the complaint.

THOM is holding out hope that Trump is telling the truth.

>what my sources are saying.

Lol

THOM is holding the bag for Trump.

Russia’s interference in our recent election and their attack on American democracy is an issue of enormous consequence. Special Counsel Mueller, appointed with bipartisan support, is proceeding with his investigation into the relationship between the Trump campaign and Russian interests. President Trump must not, in any way, try to derail or obstruct this effort. - Bernie Sanders

so, which will come first - in what order will Trump fire Mueller and pardon Mannafort?

Halloween Eve Massacre

the papa dude's indictment claims he told Donald personally about his connection to Russian offers to get DNC email.

Follow da money....Trumps finances r shady as fuck..He knew what he signed up for..

Sean Hannity - August 19th, 2016

.@newtgingrich: "Nobody should underestimate how much Paul Manafort did to really help get this [Trump] campaign to where it is right now."

This huge 'nothing burger' is absolutely delicious.

MAKE MONDAY MORNINGS GREAT AGAIN!

(another round of indictments next week, please and thank you)

“Dad and Trump are literally living in the same building and mom says they go up and down all day long hanging and plotting together,”

Jessica Manafort

>>>>Follow da money.  Trumps finances r shady as fuck

This.  Most of the charges do relate to private money laundering rather than "collusion" with the Russians, but this is just the tip of the iceberg and it will be interesting to see where the money trail leads.  Its commonly accepted that when creditors started turning off the taps to the Trump empire in 1990s, he looked to Russian nouveau riche oligarchs for funding and credit.   "Shady as fuck" is a bit of an understatement.

Presidential pardons for potential squealers in ten, nine, eight, . . .

>>>>>mom says they go up and down all day long

TMI.

This guilty plea sure seems to be about collusion with the Rusians.

Lots of un-named co conspirators with cool names like senior, supervisor, high ranking ...campaign officials.

we can't have nice things.

collusion doesn't matter.

That's a good read Steve.  Thanks for posting.

From TPM

The Papadopolous plea is quite different.

It shows a Trump foreign policy advisor in active communication with what appear to be Russian government officials or spies trying to get dirt on Hillary Clinton, arrange meetings with Russian government officials (even Vladimir Putin, rather ludicrously) and solicit Russian support. That an active foreign policy advisor was taking these actions while in active communication with the campaign about those actions is quite damning. An unnamed campaign official sent back word that a meeting with Trump himself was not happening.

Papadopolous was arrested in July and has apparently been cooperating since. I see no purely legal reason why the news of his arrest in July and guilty plea in early October had to be revealed today, other than keeping the news from Manafort. One other potential reason is that one of the ‘campaign officials’ referenced in the Papadopolous plea appears to be Manafort. It sends two clear messages. First, we’re not at all done with collusion and we’re making progress. Second, we arrested Papadopolous in July and he pled out in October and no one knew. So don’t think you have any idea what we have.

This may be projecting too much. But in revealing the Manafort news early, giving time for the White House to respond as you’d expect (nothing to do with us or Russia or the campaign) and then following up by revealing this Papadopolous indictment certainly has the feel of sucker punching the White House.

Didn't he used to post on PZ?

It’s all starting to happen

This is interesting, it seems as if the prosecutor is looking at this probe the same way a prosecutor would who was taking down a large Mafia ring or drug gang,

Neat!!

"From President Trump’s perspective, the indictment is a boon from which he can claim that the special counsel has no actionable collusion case. It appears to reaffirm former FBI director James Comey’s multiple assurances that Trump is not a suspect. And, to the extent it looks like an attempt to play prosecutorial hardball with Manafort, the president can continue to portray himself as the victim of a witch hunt."

This is from the home of the right wing "Never Trumpers".  And written by a former US. prosecuter.

And the "conspiracy" is simply not paying his taxes.  Don't pay yours and you'll be guilty of "conspiracy" as well.

Thom, did you read the Papadopolous document?

Nice  deflection Thom. Manafort is old news. OK, his case is only about him being a crook, not Trump. So far.

The Papadopolous case though, is ALL about colllusion with the Russians. and those aren't just allegations, he pled guilty.

>> The Papadopolous case though, is ALL about colllusion with the Russians. and those aren't just allegations, he pled guilty.

He was arrested on July 27th.  He pled guilty on October 5th.

IN BETWEEN HE WAS A COOPERATING WITNESS

Anyone he spoke with between those two dates is recorded on the wire he was wearing.

Papadopolous will next be seen testifying as a WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION.

Sorry THOM - the white-ethnostate for old white guys like yourself took a direct hit.  Cheers & enjoy watching the ship go down, old man.

Papadopolous got pinched at the airport while trying to bolt.

That's how they got him.

Singin' like a liddle bitch since.

Trump Co. has known.

Hence all the look at this, look at that...

Thom? Lol

Will Trump be charged with anything before November 2018?

Ruh Roh!

Pretty clear that Mueller's timing today was designed to (and succeeded at) completely OBLITERATING the previously prepared Manafort-talking points which were so eloquently stated by Viva la Zone idiot-in-residence THOM BAGGOFNUTS.

THIS is what hit the administration, former campaign officials, and knuckle-dragging water carriers for DJT (Hi Thom!) right between the eyes this morning:

Papadopoulos’s plea agreement was initially sealed. According to a motion filed in July, were its particulars publicly known at the time, they would have hampered his ability to work on behalf of investigators as a “proactive cooperator.” According to Barrett, that phrase could refer to Papadopoulos “having law enforcement-monitored meetings,” including wearing a wire or arranging “calls or emails with other subjects of the investigation who are unaware that he is cooperating with the government.”

 LOL.

Slow news day.

Oh c'mon Nancy. You know damn well he's just a low level volunteer.

It's not like Trump picked him FIRST for his Russian "A" Team.

I thought he was Webster’s adopted father

A redshirt from Star Trek?

Papa was a mole for Mueller. I can see there being a list of similar "lying to the FBI" charges to people very close to trump (Kushner, Don Jr, etc).

Of course, they will all get pardons which GOPers like Thom will celebrate. SAD!

>> Of course, they will all get pardons which GOPers like Thom will celebrate. SAD!

New York State will get them on State charges (Manafort, Trump, Kushner and all the Children of the Con.)

Also, if Trump is named as a Co-Conspirator he loses ALL pardon power.

Mueller didn't name the "other" Conspirators yesterday.

Tick, tick, tick...

Pardon trivia - Which US President pardoned the most people?

Jimmy Carter, who pardoned 200,000 Vietnam draft dodgers.

Cool how Mueller let Sarah Huckleberry-Saddlebags and Pete King (and a few others) look extra-stupid before making the PapadopDrop.

Pop Goes The Papadop Drop. He be wearing a wire.

I like it when Huck Sanders smiles when she amazes herself with her ability to bullshit spin.

I don't usually say this, but she needs to be dosed.

- Manafort had 3 Passports with 3 different numbers. (Why would you need 3)

- Clovis is cooperating with special counsel, and testified last week in front of a Grand Jury.

- Hope Hicks has a date with Mueller after the Trump's Asian excursion.

- Rex Tillerson met yesterday with Russian Ambassador, right after the Indictments were unsealed. (What did they talk about?)

Perfectly timed bump.

I don't believe we will hear anything from Mueller until after the midterms although news reports account Trump's legal team currently preparing written responses to Mueller's interrogatories

Waiting for January 2019.
