Congrats Denver Nuggets!

Forums:

...the fine people of Denver can send DeSantis a shitty blunt. LOL

well deserved

No one was going to beat that team this year, they were quietly the best team all season. The Joker is a fuckin' beast.

And their first ever championship, very cool. I'm (almost) always a fans-first guy, so I'm happy for the Nuggets fans who took the full ride over the many long years of losing.

The first one is a hell of a thing.

Now the Nuggets will get to see what it's like to get back at it with less than four months off, barely time for the hangover to wear off, and be squarely in the bullseye of every team they play, every game.

But for now it's all glory to the Denver Nuggets. Well done.

Glad to see it happen. Jokic is amazing. Great vibes during the celebration also. .

Plus...Screw any time from DeSantistan.

er, team?

I was confused for a moment, but I think I get the DeSantis references...... the Heat are from Florida.

I don't think it's fair to lump the Heat in with that total asshole, or bring politics into it in any way.

The Heat are a damn good team who deserve respect for their effort and how they played. I imagine DeSantis will now criticize them, since he is a sleezy politician who is neither damn good or deserving of respect.

God how I hate it when politics pushes it's way into sports.

Both politics and sports are imbued with slime, but one comes out the other side with glory and examples of the greatness of the human spirit, while the other...........

Is just slime.

GO SPORTS!!!!!

My mistake if anything seemed political/politicized in my 'hats off' post to the Denver Nuggets. I only suggested the "tokin" gift in the same way that, for example, if/when NYC plays Chicago and the respective mayors or governor's would send a gift and/or make a bet for pizza, bagels, or some other local favorite. I guess I could have alternatively suggested that Denver send Chili Verde and Miami send some Lobster Tails. Carry on...and, yea, Fuck DeSantis.

I always hate it when mayors make their damn bets, always pushing their skeevy way into something great that has absolutely nothing to do with them, always looking to steal the spotlight.

I say fuck ALL politicians, especially when they shove their way into the greatness of sports.

Once again, congratulations Denver Nuggets.

(And I hope you eat Golden State scraps next year!)

(And I hope you eat Golden State scraps next year!)

I think you mean Torodal shots....

Well, while it's true that the Warriors can cause quite a bit of joint pain in their opponents, I didn't mean to take away from the Nuggets in this thread.

I'm pretty sure that the Nugs will need a few Torodal shots next season while dealing with the pressure of defending their championship, but right now it's certainly all hail the Denver Nuggets!

Please don't stain a great organization as the Heat with any DeSantis antics.

Congratulations to the Nuggets organization and the people of Denver.  You never forget your first.

That said, the NBA was a shitshow this year.  Between Kevin Durant forcing his way out of Brooklyn, Ja Morant's inability to grow the fuck up and lose all the gangsta baggage, the Dallas Mavericks tanking their last few games and depriving their team and fans a shot at the playoffs, all of the "rest games" where star players were sidelined, and disappointments like Zion Williamson missing 3/4 of the season over a hamstring pull, I lost a lot of respect for these "elite" athletes.  Compared to legends who passed away this year like Willis Reed and Bob Lanier, these pampered multi-millionaires seem more effete than elite.

Props to Jimmy Butler and the Heat  for exposing the Bucks, Celtics, and Sixers as paper tigers who failed in crunch time.  Amazing how far the Heat made it considering how much of their back court was injured.

The Lakers also get some respect for salvaging their season and making a respectable run in the playoffs.  Father Time is catching up to Lebron and AD though, so their window is closing soon.  The future will be young teams with lots of draft picks and cap space.  It is a good time to be an Oklahoma City and Sacramento fan.

Curious if the league will move forward with expansion now that they have labor peace?  Adam Silver says negotiating television rights comes first.  It's always something from that bald-headed wait.  The people of Seattle and probably Las Vegas impatiently wait.

Congrats. They did it quietly all year.

As for all the other stuff the NBA plus social media is a reality TV show that can go up against any reality TV show out there. People love the drama.

I really hope Seattle gets a team. Long over due.

Love to my sister and family in Denver. They're happy.

Seattle my birth place

Dallas Mavericks tanking their last few games and depriving their team and fans a shot at the playoffs>>>

Think about making it into the play in tournament, Miami got in that way and made the final round.  Someone tell Mark Cuban to get his head out of his ass, you could have done what the Heat did, moron.

Oklahoma City>>No fan of Ainge as a player, but got to respect the way he build a team.  If they get a healthy season out of Holmgren, could get very interesting next year.

Nikola Jokic ~ Are You Excited For The Parade ?

NO ~ I Want To Go Home............
