Does anyone remeber the horse or blockbuster video?
Great talk here by Tony Seba, he is talking to bankers mind you LMAO, on clean energy disruptions and how the most powerful and elites of history had no idea what was coming and how fast thing would actually change.
It's clear the Trump Administration has no idea of any this, including folks like corprorate giant Rex Tillerson, and what will unflod in the next five to ten years and how much of their efforts to perpeteuate ineffecient technologies will be in vain, antiquated and a complete waste of time and money.
I strongly beleieve that the President should have an permenant non-partisan cabinet position for looking and planning the future of technolgy and it's impacts on society.
Automated self driving cars and trucks alone will displace millions of works within 10 to 15 years...jobs that will never be replaced.

Short clip with Bill Gates talking about taking robots...60% of American GDP is related to consumer spending. If automation and robots take our jobs away how will our economic system sustain that shock?

You're naive if you think
You're naive if you think that Tillerson is clueless on clean energy technologies. They were his opponent, and I bet that he knows more about them than even people on the clean energy industries themselves.

LMAO we'll see. His actions
LMAO we'll see. His actions with Exxon-Mobile suggest nothing to suggest that claim. How many billions are they paying for currently for future oil and gas exploration? Especially in the Arctic regions as the large areas of sea ice melt?
Or maybe I should have mentioned Rick Perry or Scott Pruitt?

They all know about the
They all know about the technologies. They vote every year to give minimal subsidies to those industries while throwing money at big oil.

Briank just watch the talk.
Briank just watch the talk. Tillerson and most corporate titans only answer to the share holders and only think about the current and next financial quarter. Find me a shareholder call where the CFO or CEO from Exxon-Mobile talked about the future of energy 10 year from now.

Rick Perry Was a Clean Energy Governor
Here’s where Rick Perry played an important role. As wind power expanded, it overwhelmed the capacity of the transmission lines responsible for bringing the energy from wind farms in the western part of the state and the panhandle to cities such as Dallas and Houston. And this restricted the number of wind farms that could be built.Governor Perry stepped in as part of a coalition of urban Democrats, who like wind for its environmental benefits, and rural Republicans, who like wind for its rural economic benefits. Texas invested $7 billion in new transmission infrastructure to connect more than 18,000 megawatts of remote wind power to the grid. The success of this bipartisan action has been staggering. Construction jobs were created and landowners gained a new source of income. Emissions from the Texas power sector plummeted. Electricity became cheaper and the costs of regulating the grid fell, too.

They all know renewables are
They all know renewables are a threat to their
vertical business model and in the long term the horizontal models kills them.
So they need to do everything possible to consolidate their power and continue a fossil fuel narrative to keep their stock price proped up.
