Because Trump needs perfect hair.
"So showerheads - you take a shower, the water doesn't come out. You want to wash your hands, the water doesn't come out. So what do you do? You just stand there longer or you take a shower longer? Because my hair - I don't know about you, but it has to be perfect. Perfect," he said.

A few years back, some pipes
A few years back, some pipes here at the shack froze while I went to Maui in Cold February and saw the DNB.
I replaced those with larger diameter lines, which allows for stronger Water flow in terms of GPM or liters per second, however you like to enumerate it.
Actually, I prefer a shower head with manageable flow restriction, because otherwise it would be closer to an open Fire hydrant which has enough water pressure to tear your flesh off the bones.

how did conservatives get so
how did conservatives get so far away from conserving anything? This is all about not merely exploiting resources, but wasting them just for fun.

Having gone through the
Having gone through the experience of Frozen pipes in an old shack, I did some research regarding how Copper lines in the Cellar connect to those on the first or second Story.
They might be 1" or 3/4" Copper in that cellar, but then they connect with various twists, turns and different diameters of Pipe as they circulate throughout the Shack.
Is there a reason why the second - story pipes feeding the Shower are 1/2" diameter Copper ??
Actually it turns out, there are many diverse philosophies regarding "House plumbing" of the 1950's and beyond, some of which make practical sense, others not quite.

So 25 - 30 years ago when I was transitioning from Home - Brewing into commercial Brewing, I started to learn how the Magic of Water pipes functioned in Hot and Cold (or transitioning between) systems and how to connect them so they don't Fuck up.

If I ever build a new
If I ever build a new domestic structure, the central water supply would have 1-1/2" Stainless supply line like breweries and dairies use, tapered down in diameter for whichever appliance - sink, shower, tub toilet.
For now, PEX has replaced a lot of copper that broke, and you don't have to risk setting the place on fire with a torch.

I gather that the majority of
I gather that the majority of new construction runs PEX unless requested to run Copper. PEX has the advantages of being less expensive and susceptible to a freeze, but Copper has antimicrobial properties.
THose Shark-Bite / Gator-Grip fittings are truly an awesome invention. Yes a bit expensive, yet you can attach PEX to Copper in minutes, and VOILA your sink is running again.
Plumbers, of course, hate that stuff. They'll use it but don't want to see people going DIY and saving $$$.
