Smoking CBD will not get you high, nor chilled.  A misguided idea.......

Cbd is for pain and other relief "benefits" , no?

Not sure if buying the flower from this site is different, but you can legally buy cbd in Ct. -- In  all kinds of forms at the corner store....i dont even think there is an age restriction, so, ya, youre not getting high off it...weed is still illegal in Ct etc...

We grew a 1 to 1 plant outdoors this summer and have a couple more CBD plants in the shed that need to be taken down any day.   Haven't yet tried any of it (I prefer the Mt Hood Magic and the many other THC strains that we have jarred up), but will have to report back on the CBD flowers.

The idea of the high CBD plant is not to smoke the plant itself -- it's bred to extract high amounts of CBD from the flower to make oils, tinctures etc. 

My take on the CBD craze is that while it's beneficial we are missing critical components of the plant itself by just extracting CBD. In the same vein as only extracting THC.  My undereducated, not uneducated, opinion is that the use of the whole plant is critical if we are using the plant as medicine. 

The CBD flower strains I've tried mostly didn't taste that good. We make CBD "hash" with CO2 out of the medium and large leaves. It's heated so it can be eaten as well as smoked. Not much in the way of mental effects, and what there is is subtle, but excellent for pain and inflammation - when you hit it you can feel the relief moving out from your center to your extremities.

believe that is true.

have smoked cbd. harley-tsu and another. beautiful nice flowers but in order to receive benefits you need to inhale a lot.  my lungs have too many miles for that. 

The original highest CBD strain, Charlottes Web, wasn't bred to smoke.  Unhealthy people smoking shake isn't the best idea.  The industry is completely missing the boat. Too many money people in the business --- sure I'll throw on a Jungle Boys hoodie -- with no knowledge.

I own a CBD farm here in VT. I grow small batch, high CBD flower for pre rolls, ice water hash, solventless hash rosin, and solventless flower rosin. As well as topicals and maple candies.  tons of flower ive seen main stream thats garbage, imo it needs a lil the old thc to really hit you, but our cherry wine strain is an awesome to blend with a high thc strain, its an even keel high really relaxing and clear. ahave had great feedback about the candies, topicals and concentrates as well. hoping this picks up steam.

As long as you're including THC you're doing the right thing.  Not a fan of sick people smoking though.  What's your turn around % on rosin? Never can get a straight answer from anyone pressing. For example: if your running 20% THC nugs the MOST you can return is 20% yet I constantly hear of presses having 30% returns.  Bullshit...

Re. pressing nugs for rosin - if the nug is 20% THC the remnant nug after pressing may be 5% and the oil may be 30%  By weight both together are still 20%.

is this post a joke that is going over my head? what are you even talking about? what is "CBD opiate like toxic strength" and how does it come from "old school curing"? how would "toxins"(which in this context is a meaningless word) leach into the cannabis without being in contact with a solvent to leach said "toxins"?

tobacco curing processes would destroy good cannabis. air curing methods would leave the weed hanging up in the dry barn to long and ruin the flavor. flue curing will ruin the terpenes with heat. fire curing will obviously ruin the flavor with smoke. sun curing will turn your weed brown and make it taste like burnt popcorn.  fermentation a la perique tobacco would taste like wet lawn clippings.

Full extract Cannabis Oil (FECO) is the way to go.  You need some THC and the other cannabinoids ( shouldn't this word be in the spelling data base?  Shows as misspelled.)  for the CBD to work to its potential.

And you can get relaxed(chilled) by smoking cbd weed. Just not stoned. I like smoking it during the day as it does not fuck with my head the way THC does.  And a well done extract tastes very sweet and nice.

Smoking CBD flowers, hash, vapes etc  does nothing for me except make me anxious and jittery.  Hemp CBD is not legal to sell unless its been grown and distributed with a cannabis license, contrary to what  some will tell you. Falls into a grey area of FDA unregulated products. Shipping is a no no as well but most likely no one us looking unless you’re in the cannabis industry. Just sayin.

How much CBD must one take to realize the potent anti inflammatory powers? Hundreds of mg's? For that purpose, turmeric is probably better and cheaper. 

Turmeric is about the same cost these days.

Perhaps, but it takes much less to get the same effects.

I have a CBD strain a friend sent me from the west coast called

Abacus 18.63 CBD & 0.73 THC.

Its great for topical relief and other essential oils we make.

the link dflo posted is from earlier in the year, before the passing of the 2018 farm bill, which has a big impact on hemp and CBD in the states. here is a more current forbes article;

hemp is officially no longer associated with marijuana under US drug law. the arguments in previous years that CBD was legal in all 50 states if it was made from hemp was a grey area that generally did not hold water. now it does hold water and is the law - hemp is not marijuana as far as US drug policy is concerned as of the passing of the 2018 farm bill.

Ive smoked Harletsu and it makes me jittery too. Around 15% cbd with less than 0.5% thc. The oil capsules work for my mom though to help with her headaches. I have a friend who has neuropathy and he swears by the 18:1 cbd vape pens, a couple of tokes and quick relief. He also said that he can feel it move through his body.  and my step pop swears by the 1:1 RSO for pain relief.

Harlequin flower is a 2:1 - about 16%/10% - cbd/thc strain that produces a light high and calming effect when smoking the flower. I like harlequin but it wears off fast. CBD strains arent for everyone, but we are growing a shitload more cbd than we were three years ago. The demand is there.
