Canada legalized it.

Forums:

The Canadian parliament just legalized cannabis for everyone 18 years of age on up.

Yes, I posted a link in the cannabis folder.  Oh Canada!

In a left handed way, maybe Trump actually deserves some credit ... in so far as ushering the progressive mindset along in recent times, or at least just enough for the moment to help make it happen.

Vous avez une lumière, frère?

I hope someone gets the Nobel peace prize for this!

At last a green E-W corridor, joining the Left Coast to NE.

Today the New York State Health Commissioner has advised to legalize Recreational Marijuana in New York State.

Congrats to our kind neighbors to the north. I'm still not smoking that BC bud crap.

If anyone ever wanders up that way, there's a little town in British Columbia called Nelson, it's a little south of Revelstoke, and I guess it's the hub of Canada's hemp industry, but they are partying in the streets every night of the year, it's the coolest town you've never heard of.

Bourdain did a great piece on Canada & ended up eating all these cool local smoked meats. Both Corned Beef & Pastrami etc..

I realize the obvious answer is "no", but curious if (US) states have ever been able to successfully assert some form of jurisdiction over what at the same time is recognized as a national border?  IOW, could Washington state claim the right to conduct commerce involving marijuana with BC?

Almost finished with the following, and can't help but wonder if there's still any room for such a consideration pertaining to state sovereignty in such a regard?

those f--king canucks busted me at the border for it back in the 70's

who'da thunk it

I'm not talking bi-national sales or even free carry across, just knowing you can cross the continent and remain in green-friendly states or provinces all the way.

I predict a legal clusterfuck with the provinces and the civil liberties society, who will challenge everything from home growing to impaired driving checks, for a start.

>all these cool local smoked meats.

It's a smoked brisket with a simple name: Smoked meat.  Served on a non seeded Jewish rye with a slathering of spicy deli mustard.... Pure heaven.

Winnipeg wheelchair where have you gone?

Fuck the beasters!

BC buds!

Canada will soon have legal weed in all provinces and, unlike California and most other US states, already has access to worldwide legal online poker. Good to know there is a reasonable option up north if life ever go so terribly awry in California that I consider moving. Hopefully not, though. I like Canada and Canadians, but I'm more comfortable with mild weather, and anticipate preferring warmer climate as I get older.

Does this babbling blurb add anything worthwhile to the conversation? Probably not, but that's ok. I'm perfectly stoned on delicious outdoor Girl Scout Cookies (grown outdoor in Sierra foothills), so I figured I'd drop in briefly to say high and smile at y'all. Yea, dense dank buds that pack a punch. Cheers for smoking weed without worrying about getting busted in Canada, and California or whatever state you're in!

You're not that high...

You should try a puff or 2 of these girl scout cookies, Turtle! If you are traveling north, sniff out the dank in the parking lot aside Mystic Theater between sets at the Nelson 75 Jubilee, and come say high. You'll enjoy that Magic Bus smile for the whole 2nd set!

Yeah, I know what you're saying ... a modern day "Northwest Passage" (of liberty).

... almost connected the dots from CO -> CA, but the Arizona legalization effort fell short the last go around

CO = weed locked
