all grown organically by me, harvested by me, fan leaves/large stems removed, branches around 6in long with sugar leaf still attached packed into 1/2 gallon ball jars, burped daily for 2 weeks, sealed up for 3-4 weeks, including dry time thats almost a 2 month dry/cure. the bud is untrimmed, so there is no trichrome loss that comes from the buds being disturbed by scissors. the smaller branches and sugar leaf that are typically removed for retail sale protect the trichromes, prevent terpenes from volatilizing, and allows the buds to remain fresh and at a consistent moisture level for 6+ months. i never rehydrate buds during drying or curing, it ruins the delicate notes of the flavor. 

IMO trimmed and processed buds are a huge step down in quality from 6-12in branches with sugar leaves left on, unfortunately buds prepared in this manner are not commercially available. it would be cheaper to produce for the farmer, cheaper to buy for the consumer, and better quality all around. but it does not look very pretty, and the "jar smell" is altered by the presence of leaf and stem, but the buds underneath are of vastly greater quality. 

Cookie Glue (stellaxdosidosxcookiencreme) was my favorite from summer run.  Best circulating, which are rarely sativa's, is pineapple jack.  Never been a fan of any pineapple crosses but I guess you cant go wrong with Jack Herer.  Very nice & uplifting.

Larry -- Im a huge fan of anything with Great White Shark.  My personal fav.  20 years ago a single cut was brought back in a McDonald's salad container by a friend, gifted to him by Arjan, and has made it's way around the country.  20 years later, 100's of strains have passed by and it's still remains the go to.

That's kinda how im curing daylight. .I rough trim when I know it's dry straight to the jar. Only with out the longer stems. But burp em a couple times then you can really get a nice cure going

My sourd is ridiculous.  When I do finally get around to 'finish trim' I have to stop to scrape my scissors 3-4 times per O because of the sugar leaves. keep all my scissor hash too.

Unfortunately in the bassackwards state of PA its whatever I can get my hands on... no cool names, no choice of variety. I have to take whatever I can get. At this point i have 1 last connection and it will really really suck if that dries up. My biggest hope for 2020 is that PA will finally legalize... PLEASE!!!! Why cant I just go to the store and buy a couple bags of whatever I want! I am amazed at the choices some of you all have at your disposal... the pics are stunning!  

Now if there are any uber cool zoners out there within 2 hours of Pittsburgh that could hook an old stoner up, it would be greatly appreciated, I'm willing to travel to get what I need! And no, its not a cop question... Ive been zonin for 20 years and on the edge of getting desperate. Just fuckin legalize it already!!!

Only problems w/ drying and storing untrimmed are:

A. The buds get a little off flavor by being stored right up against the little leaves.

B. When you want to get high you have to stop and trim the buds you're about to smoke.

Not an option either outdoors or indoors where I live... i just gotta keep shlepping on, hoping my last connection keeps going or I meetup with a new one, and hope for legalization. I've thought about driving to Michigan or DC but haven't got that desperate yet.   

Not an option is a lame excuse.  I know people who grow in all kinds of states that don't have or didn't have any medical marijuana or recreational marijuana.  Not to mention, I know people in other countries where its not legal, but they grow their own.  To each their own.  I definitely don't go by the rules where I'm at.

Never ever use vacuum sealers.

Absolutely no off flavors as long as you're not manhandling the buds by crunching/squishing or over packing the jar.

Its not a lame excuse, its a fact based on where I live and the fact that I'm not capable of the physical requirements of finding a safe place, digging, planting, etc... I would if I could (and have in the past) but its not an option for me these days... but i'm not here to argue. Just to vent on the lameness of PA to not get with it and legalize. Hopefully 2020 will be the year.
