Buckeye Lake Music Center - June 9, 1991

Forums:

Coming out of the blistering Deer Creek tour opening 2-spot, we see a band continuing to play at a fun, fresh and inspired clip. The last great Grateful Dead tour was now in full flight.

Monitor mixer from Buckeye Lake show courtesy of a friend who worked as a stagehand.

Good show, but after the two barn burners at Deer Creek it seemed a bit tame.

You can see the back of my head in that shot.  And I remember that they had moved the stage to the left after the '88 show.

And Bobby's guitar gets two channels?

Fun show.  They sound checked "Book of Rules" by the Heptones that afternoon.  Weir on vocals

I had such a good time at that show. That area on Phil's side so full of dancers.....I saw all of summer '91 which was one of their last really good tours. Buckeye '92 was pale in comparison

I caught the last show of that tour - Mile High in Denver.

Very weird night

Denver was weird. I was sky high during the santana set, then remember sitting in the stands during the break watching some burly dude lightly jog through the crowd on the field and every 50 ft or so he would body block someone and knock them down and keep going. It was a weird show. Killer Wharf Rat. It's like Jerry knew an intervention was coming
