The "Bryen's" & "Thoms" will have their conscience to deal with, but what about ...

Forums:

... elected & appointed officials who are actively discrediting the legitimacy of an oversight process that is directly responsible for the security of our nation; if we ever get "past this", should they be subject to any sort of official punitive response?

Imagine if a few military personnel stationed at NORAD all agreed with one another to question the legitimacy of factual sensor data pertaining to Russian aircraft having crossed over into US airspace; and went so far as to continue to support their "alternate interpretation", even as questions about said incident went up the chain of command.   When senior ranking officials discover the facts refute their alternate interpretation, would this "cadre" be subject to severe disciplinary action?   If the answer is a clear and resounding yes, then why shouldn't elected representatives & appointed officials who are promulgating an "alternate interpretation" of a significant matter of national not also be subject to disciplinary action or recourse?

I hope if the folks that launch the nukes ever get the order to shoot from Herr Drumpf that they will disobey that order.

Thanks for being so concerned about my conscious.  It's doing just fine, now try working on your own.  Working on ones own issues usually results in better results than worrying about someone else's.

And while you're at it, try ramping down the unmitigated stupidity that is evidenced by posts like this one.  If you are really worried about Trump launching nuclear missiles you have crossed over into clinical paranoia that requires treatment.

Back to ignoring Treason

Fuck the Bryhom’s of this country. They’ve proven that they have no regard for our democracy and the rule of law. They prefer the KGB over the FBI just like their dear leader. Fuck them.

I know, because Webster and almost everyone is in on the big hoax witch hunt

Perhaps YOU can look within yourself and ask whether you truly believe 99% of our national intelligence professionals are willing to sell out the US just to stick it to Trump?

What boggles the mind is that you won't even leave open the possibility - in light of the stakes - that they're on to something.

It is on this last count that I am with Bucky, I don't give a shit about the feelings of anyone who's placing the nation and world at risk out of pure ego.

What I do care about is holding those in positions of power responsible for having abdicated their solemn duty.

Was there anyone here who was all in for trump before the nomination? Just curious

^ I know right, what ever happened to the "lesser of two evils"?!?

With maniacs shooting innocent people and the air, food, and water poisoned with cancer?

You or someone in your family could be next to be murdered while out shopping, or end up in the hospital or the morgue because you made the fatal mistake of eating, drinking, or  breathing?

Your government is run by Russia and Saudi Arabia.

One poisons reporters to death and the other carves them up with bone saws.

Love those Commies and Arabs?

Adolf Hitler was a member of a legitimate political party that won a legitimate election.  He ran on the evils of the press and hatred of minorities.

Sound familiar?

You are a brave man, faceonmars. Thank you.<<<

Not so sure I'd accept such credit, was just thinking how I might bail on the U.S. and move to Canada if the climate becomes more ominous re: health & safety.   With the current trajectory, I'm not sure how long of a shelf life I'll have with the amount of things I've posted in so many different places?    In hindsight, those who moved out of Germany at the very early stages had a much easier time of it.  While I'll fight tooth and nail if it ever came down to it, not looking forward to it by any stretch ... would much rather be in a place where power tools are used to build things.

"Concious"

The Derek Zoolander/Donald Trump School for kids who can't read and write so well.

I think right now it's going to go down as a letter from a two-bit dictator of a banana republic," he told Cooper. "It has that kind of quality to it."

"Think about our history and the people we've had, the amount of letters," Gergen continued, noting the historic documents left behind by past presidents.

"Think about Donald Trump's letters...going up against Jefferson, up against Lincoln on the second inaugural or Gettysburg, up against, Franklin Roosevelt and the fireside chats, Jack Kennedy and his inaugural, Ronald Reagan at Pointe du Hoc."

"This is going to be in those annals as a representation of this president" Gergen said.

"For a man who apparently, we were told by his close folks, that he cares mostly about his legacy these days?" Gergen asked. "This is what he's contributing to his legacy?"

In the letter, Trump "More due process was afforded to those accused in the Salem Witch Trials," and argued that "not many people who could have taken the punishment inflicted during this period of time, and yet done so much for the success of America and its citizens."

Former federal prosecutor Jeffrey Toobin told Cooper that the letter was a "perfect" representation of the president. "This narcissism, this lying, this self-obsession, this ignorance if history—this is all what's here," he added.

"And you know what? He got elected president of the United States acting exactly this way," Toobin continued. "And he may get re-elected behaving exactly this way. But there's no mystery about who he is—this is who he is."
