My wife and I went to visit my Mother in Law and her husband near Alicante Spain and returned last Wednesday. Caught a flight out of Madrid. I was hearing announcements that if you were on a "high security" flight you needed to be at the boarding gate an hour and a half before take off. Arrived at my gate about an hour before flight to see this extra security (swabbing people, removing shoes, running carry ons through Xray), asked if they were boarding economy and they asked where I was going. I said Philly and they told me this gate was Miami and the Philly gate had been moved one gate over. I didn't figure out until later in the day why the Miami flight was high security. I also watched Snowden on the flight back. Strange days indeed.
