What an odd and exhausting lineup, IMHO.

Never been, don't wanna go now!

I watched an Andy Frasco/UN set last year.

Kinda went from "This guy seems like he might be fun" to "This is a cry for help."

ymmv

Mandolin Orange is pretty good.

Nelly Performing Country Grammar

Some good bands for sure, but couldn't imagine traveling to Tennessee in the middle of June and camp out with 80,000 people like that.

Northwest String Summit with about 5,000 people right outside town or Phish at the Gorge are a little more manageable.

I'm old.

Have only heard of a tiny percentage of those bands.

Oh well, wasn't going anyway.

Miley headliner!!!

wtf?

Really, Nilüfer Yanya is the only act I'd really want to see. I've been completely transfixed by her recent album.

A once great festival sinks to new lows.

When are they announcing headliners?

Wow.....

Thom,

Do you mean, "This festival had a jam band lineup in 2002-2003 and since then features newer artists I don't know or listen to"?

Cause that's true. I've never gone, and based on the lineup not planning to, but I'm sure people who attend every year would probably be better suited to opine on whether its "sunk to new lows".

Hopefully that Nilüfer Yanya set will be streaming. Should be killer.

There are good acts every day.   Of course there are a lot of bands targeting the Millenial/Gen Y crowd.  They are the bulk of the attendees.  Some of them will suck (Lizzo-blech, Assnectar, gross) while many will be excellent (King Gizzard, Tame Impala, Leon Bridges).  Coachella has a similar palette of performers.  I like more roots music or Americana in the mix, and would rather hang out in New Orleans than a cow pasture in Tennessee or the SoCal desert, which is why I go to NOLA Jazzfest.

I'd at least be a little curious to check out Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats and LSDREAM.

I want to add, to add onto Herbal Dave, that I also think the following artists would be good to see:

Bill Frissel

Nilufer Yanya

Primus (I stopped really listening to Primus 20 years ago, but Les plays a mean bass and does a great live show)

King Gizzard

Flogging Molly (Matt Hensley was my favorite skateboarder when I started. He retired at peak fame to play pool and ended up playing in Flogging Molly)

Tame Impala

>>Kinda went from "This guy seems like he might be fun" to "This is a cry for help."

I absolutely love him, but I can see where we definitely differ on these things.  Spent my 50th brithday with him.... there is video... that is all Im gonna say about that.

I kind love this lineup but nothing could every get me to go to this festival.... actually if anyone has room in their 50k baller RV package or whatever that is, Im game.

Yeah I know I'm not far off from not knowing a single band in a line up. Hell because most of my new to me music comes from the Spotify algorithm I have no idea if I'm listening to current or popular music anymore.
