Bonhams Auction March 27th - Bernie Worrell

Forums:

Bernie was one of the greatest musicians to ever grace this world with their presence.  A true pioneer.  His instruments and stage costumes go up for auction Match 27th at 1pm.

I wish the zone could buy BrianD one of his Melodicas

The two performances I was lucky enough to catch with Kimock were, as Ritchie would say, the most high.

He was one of the most underrated musicians of all time.

His death was one of 2016 greatest losses.

his mini moog belongs in the smithsonian

^Amen to all of the above.  Blessed to have seen him and wish I'd attended more of his gigs.

Ya gotta dig for Bernie's stuff - but the offerings can be browsed here:

some very cool stuff in there

I worked as a sound engineer for a couple of years on a storied MCI Mixing Console from Miami's Criteria Studio's "C".

Eric Clapton's Layla, 461 Ocean Blvd, Eagles One of These Nights, Hotel Califorinia, and every Bee Gees hit were recorded (tracked & mixed) on this board. (Some Marley stuff too)
