Bob & Phil Wow New York @ Radio City

Forums:

Here is an awesome, pretty much full on comprehensive review of the first night at Radio City. A great read for those who were there or streamed the show and a must read for fans who were not. It includes the few stories told in between tunes that warmed this old bastards cold heart.  Gotta love it.

Enjoy!

Great read, thanks!

"American primitive"    lol

>Lesh stated the duo’s politics even more forcefully, urging the audience to identify pro-gun legislators and “vote them motherf—ers out.”

Awesome. Thank you, Phillip.

And the second night wowed the first night. Trey was superb!

Trey was superb! <<<<<

Not To My Ears

Trey was tolerable until he started playing guitar and singing.

Trey was totally awesome!

We were able to see the pro-shot simulcast of the Trey set on Youtube last night after coming back from Santana.  Sounded pretty sick to me.  Good stuff with full sound, especially for a four piece.  I would see this line up anytime.

Did anybody know that Trey was going to sit in for half the show?

i thought it was common knowledge that trey was sp guest but maybe some were suprised

Scott Allen gets all the scoops?

is mayer really doing boston? can't imagine that.

That's not a very imaginative imaginator you have there, pyramid.

Great sleepy-time music.

Cringeworthy article.

Good stuff!

mayer nite 2 boston? chimenti nite 2 chicago?

I had not posted much in previous months regarding the duo run as I felt it it was a recipe for a snooze fest so I  approached these shows with knee high expectations and a spoonful of skepticism.. With that in mind a free couch run is always an opportunity to have your head turned. I was really pleasantly surprised by the creativity of the interpitations with altered tempo and what sounded like  new renditions of so many of these classics. Vocally we had some issues from time to time but for the most part it was pretty good. Phils playing was nothing short of excellent and Bobby carried the ball far better then I could have ever imagined. Quite remarkable. Trey was a strong addition complimenting most every tune without stealing anyones thunder. Hats off to the duo.

Dear Nugs,

Cameras and direction still suck,

Sincerely,

I don't buy your webcasts

Cameras and direction still suck<<

I believe it is stipulated in all GD-related contracts.

Similar to how sit-in guests may be heard either in the house mix or the stage mix, but not both simultaneously.

Bump for KK and Phil & Bobby.....
