It's excellent and as he's
It's excellent and as he's done many times, Bob has created something unlike any of his previous work. A tapestry of snapshots and postcards of people and places that are cemented in his memory.
I think it's the first real album he's released since he transformed into more of a swinging crooner. The focus is on the lyrical delivery. The music, although very tasteful, is more of support system to the raspy poetry. Very Leonard Cohen like.
It is solid all the way through, particularly Key West - Philosopher Pirate.
