Im still pawing my way thru the 66 tour box.... really amazing stuff and wild to witness the progression and variances from night to night even with a mostly static setlist. Levon actually did the tour a favor by staying home, and Im a gian Levon fan

"66 tour box" Would love to have that!

A tear go down
My day is real
But your dying eye
Upon the shame
Each needs a road
For me from you
What paradise?
What can I do?
That die for my
And the day is dark
I can['t] believe
[for the end of time]
What I could find
Oh time is rye-ou-lou
'f I fell in love
To fall in love
To fall in love
With you

The day is dark
Our time is right
Day in the night
Deep in the night
I can’t yet be back
I hear-a my-a surprise
I see it in you live
I knew it in your eyes
Well I feel your love
And I feel no shame
I can't unleash your horde
I call your name
What you're to me
What can I do?
To fall in love
To fall in love
To fall in love
With you

It just rolls
Upon the sand
[?] now
I made the man
Can make you feel
What I can find
I know it in my days
Ah in my dreary mind
Oh will ages roll
Will ages fly
I hear your name
Where angel lie
What do I know?
For to come it's true
To fall in love
To fall in love
To fall in love
With you

How can the doors
A trust on a nail

How can I be surprised
Of most everything
Ah in the distant road
I can['t] be the same
I feel no love
I kill no shame
I can't watch the bay
Out on my an own
We've a destined man
I came atist it all
[I didn't] I could find
Where I could go
To fall in love
To fall in love
To fall in love
With you

1966 Box Set = 36 Discs Amazing !

wish i had it too

Its well worth the $$, and actually a great value for 36 discs, esp when compared to the Cutting Edge at 18 discs was so much more. Oddly, I was really looking forward to the electric set for each performance and all the interplay and banter but what has really stood out are the acoustic sets. Ive had "Genuine Live 66" and the Bootleg Series 4 for sometime so I guess I just expected each night to fall in line with these sets, esp with the static setlist, but have been amazed at the subtle and dramatic changes from one show to the next.

The Cutting Edge and the Live 66 boxes have made it an amazing couple of years to be a Dylan fan for that era

In the absolutely  Favs 3 discs

Triple album coming out March 31.

Another album of standards, Triplicate

Yup. It will be interesting to see if he has much left in

the songwriting tank anymore.

Here's a pretty nice article/interview from shortly after Together Through Life was released that I had never read until a recent wikipedia search for info on Steve Ripley who was another guitarist in the 981 touring band that also had Fred Tackett from Little Feat.

Lot's of interesting topics as well as recounting a visit Neil Young's childhood house I thought was classic Dylan:

Dylan then recounts a recent side excursion he made from Minnesota to Manitoba. "I went to see Neil Young's house in Winnipeg," he says. "I just felt compelled. I wanted to see his bedroom. "Where he looked out of the windows. Where he dreamed. Where he walked out of the door every day. Wanted to see what's around his neighborhood in Winnipeg. And I did just that."

"How did you do that?"

"I don't know," he answers. "Somebody found out for me where he used to live. I mean, there's no marker or anything. And some people were living in his house. He lived in an upstairs duplex with his mother. I wanted to walk the steps that Neil walked every day."

"Does he know you did that?" I ask.

"I don't think so," Dylan says with a grin. "I was meaning to send him a card afterward and tell him that. That I'd been there. Where he used to hang out and where he started out. Neil, I respect him so much.

Nice article, thanks. Neil Young has said he feels he's a "C" student in Bob Dylan.

Sorry wrong thread <<<

Nah

Thanks man, I just roll with it.

Wanna buy some mandies?

There is a new set on ebay for 89 big ones, I almost went for it but then I looked at the setlists on Amazon and saw how similar they were and figured I did not need 13 almost exact performances.

>13 almost exact performances.

The funny thing is how different each night really was.... I struggled with the setlist thing at first but once I got the box nd started listening I realized how unreal these performances were and how wildly different each night really was. Its an incredible document of one of the greatest tours in the history of rock and roll and combined with the "Cutting Edge" it covers a pretty wild segment of Dylans' career

Dylan did the same thing at Lennon's boyhood home in Liverpool. Sat in Lennon's boyhood bedroom.  Hmmm, a pattern, not too creepy I guess.

I visited on a cab tour when I was there but to go inside you must sign up for the tour as the residence is part of the NAtional Trust as is McCartney's residence.  Harrison's is still occupied by renters,a muse style apt. and Ringo's is torn down.  No one cared about preserving it including Ringo.

Another SICK One !

Bob Dylan 11/17/94 " The Real Unplugged "  off the charts !

i have no idea where i got this from

Nice! I saw the Ithaca show from that Fall 94 tour, sat front row and had pre-show security access. Still have the poster and security shirt. great show!
