Billy Strings is playing a three night run in St. Augustine Florida April 29-May 1. The venue is next door to Anastasia State Park with camping.on the beach.
Got tickets for Friday night and will be working on getting Saturday and Sunday. Should be a good time and hope you Florida Freeks and other East Coast Zoners can make it.

Sounds like a fun time. I used to fly into Jacksonville with the bare necessities for camping (e.g., sleeping bag, inflatable mat, money) and rent an SUV that was big enough to sleep in, for some of the early Suwannee festivals. Didn't need much else. But I'm too old for that now. And not really compelled to get on an airplane. Enjoy.

I camped out there a little over a month ago on a road trip to see my dad in southern Florida. It's a very cool campground with lush vegetation. While you can't technically camp on the beach, it's a short walk from campsites. The state park itself feels isolated (in a good way) from the hustle and bustle of St. Augustine proper. Unfortunately, I didn't see the music venue but the SP campground info mentioned it in their literature & would've loved to have been able to have seen a show! The cost was a bit high for a SP, but well worth it!
It was my first time in St. Augustine and found it to be very interesting ... being one of the oldest colonial cities. I didn't spend a whole lot of time there, but did manage to get in a good hour of walking through the old city and fort area.
The night before I spent at Ft. Pickens campground (Gulf Islands National Seashore) near Pensacola ... which edged out Anastatia by a nose, both were quite memorable. I did manage to camp directly on the beach the night before FP at a state park in Texas near Port Arthur ... it was cool to drive my van on the sand!

I grew up in the neighborhood near the venue and my parents still live there in the same house. Only a 20 minute walk (or 10 minute bike ride) to the amphitheater. I have never stayed in the campground before, but have camped in the dunes and other areas of the park surreptitiously by paddling over across Salt Run. According to Jimmy Buffett, St. Augustine has the prettiest beaches in Florida.

That old fort in St Augustine is sumthin. They still got that Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum down there ?
