Recreating the album in it's entirety. Could be interesting. The woman who sings has a beautiful voice.

The Newton Theatre -  Newton, New Jersey

The Airplane Family & Friends ... perform the 50th Anniversary of Paul Kantner / Jefferson Starship masterpiece “Blows Against the Empire...  It was the first album to ever be nominated for literary science fiction’s Hugo Award in the category of Best Dramatic Presentation.

Performing “Blows” along with Jefferson Airplane favorites and some Grateful Dead jams are: Peter Kaukonen, original/ founding member of both Hot Tuna & Jefferson Starship, & a member of Jefferson Airplane with his brother Jorma. He played lead guitar & bass on the original album. Slick Aguilar, David Crosby guitarist in the 1980s, performed in Jefferson Starship for 25 years with Paul Kantner, prior to his passing in January 2016. Pianist Tom Constanten was inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame in 1995 as original pianist in Grateful Dead. Mark Karan, lead guitarist with Bob Weir’s Rat Dog and The Other Ones. Mike Falzarano played in Hot Tuna for 12 years and New Riders for 15 years. Clare Maloney, a major new talent performs all the Grace Slick vocal parts. And...there will be an original multi-media component.

So are you aware of any web - page for them ?  I see they are also up in Derry,  New Hampshire.

Something Clifton Park also.

Thanks Alan R.

I also am facebooless but can't find much regarding the Blows Against The Empire tour.
Slick Aguilar sometimes plays at the Sunday music out at the Coast,  but I couldn't go today.

Maybe they are trying to not advertise much and keep it really low-key ?

this looks good.

Sadly, this entire Tour has been canceled, along with so  many other shows and Tours right now, due to COVID 19 fears.

WFDU's 'Morning Dew Crew' has attempted to ease the pain of this situation, by resurrecting our 2011 In-Depth Interview with Paul Kantner, which focused, in part, on 'Blows Against The Empire'... .

Here it is on our streaming Archives for your enjoyment:

Thanks, will give it a listen.

BATE, Crosby and Garcia's first solo records pretty much the hippie trilogy back when there was music in the cafes at night and revolution was in the air.

You could also say Blows, Sunfighter, and Baron Von Tollbooth & Chrome Nun were the Paul Kantner/Grace Slick & Co trilogy.

Don't forget Manhole.  It has one of my favorite tunes...It's Only Music
