And the Ryman.  But yeah, I am going to have to be on it to avoid getting shut out of St. Augustine.

Seeing him with Chris Thile 2/1.

Titans they be!

He also played two shows at the very small Frost Amphitheater in Palo Alto right after playing the Golden 1 Center in Sac last October 2023:

^^ Frost holds right around 8000 people, that's only half an arena but not exactly "very small".

The Golden 1 Center was also cut in half for the Strings show. With the stage pushed to the middle of the floor and the upper deck curtained off and not available for sale the capacity for that show was around 8,000, but the BS tide continues to rise and he'll be playing full arena's soon.

YMMV on whether that's a good thing or not.

I was lucky to see him play an extremely small venue a few years ago but I think Lance is right about arenas. As long as the sound is still great I'm good too! Going to be relying on streams for the time being, but was eyeing St Augustine for a travel show. That venue looks pretty sweet.

SPRING24 is the password for St. Augustine.

Got in for Friday, but otherwise shut out.   1000 people ahead of me in the line for Saturday and by the time I got in, only the uber innie secret seats were left.  General presale pass code didn't work.

Regardless, going down to the lot on Saturday and will listen to the show from the woody swamp behind the venue if needed.

No Red Rocks this time. Fiddler's Green is much larger but is a horrible place to see a show.

St. Aug is a fantastic venue and town!  I got for Fri.  Shut out of Saturday

and thank you Ken for the password!

Your welcome.  Went back on Ticketmaster and somehow scored one for Saturday.  Sure I will find another before showtime.  We will see you down there.

Agreed its a great venue and seen many shows there (including the last two Billy Strings runs in 2022 and 2023).  Seeing Widespread Panic there in March.  It helps that my parents' place is a 20 minute walk to the venue.

Awesome campground at the Trey Anastasia State Park right next door!  I camped there a couple of years ago en route to see my dad in southern Florida.

The park reserves many of the camp spots for showgoers.   They are still hard to reserve on show nights.  The park itself is really cool and features miles of nearly deserted beaches.   We often cut through a portion of the park walking from my parents house to the venue, as long as the mosquitoes aren't too bad.  My son and I got tore up going to Jason Isbell in August.   He wanted to stop and smoke a bowl, but couldn't because of the swarms of mosquitoes so we had to take off running through the woods towards the venue.

Wow, your parents live in a cool spot!  I didn't get a chance to see much of the other developed areas of the shoreline of St. Augustine to see the contrast, but it's very cool / interesting to see the beachfront of the park being relatively undisturbed without any development.

I was there in mid to late December, so not sure how bad the mosquitos are at that time of the year; however, it wasn't nearly as bad as where I had camped two nights prior while on route to FL ... literally on the beach at Sea Rim State Park about 10 miles south of Port Arthur, TX.  I had read about the mosquitos being bad and made sure to limit the number of times I left my van to only one ... and even after a half second leaving / re-entering was enough to let in at least 50-100 of them that I spent the next hour swatting.

Speaking of Saint Augustine, just saw this "audit" video last night of a former Sheriff getting kid gloves treatment for a traffic stop involving buds found.
