I read in many articles over the years that when he is in concert he always hears someone hollering play a Dead song.
He get's all butt hurt that It's his band and not the Dead. I believe a percentage of his fans knew little to nil of his work until he did hook up with the Dead.
Then he gets bent out of shape when a few fans ask for a cover?? I have seen him 4 times over they years and cannot recall any heckling.

Bruce had a successful career
Bruce had a successful career way B4 playing with the GD.
After Brent died, the GD were fortunate that Bruce helped out by stepping in some.
My last 2 shoes were in Washington DC, in the summering 95.
Obviously not a good time 4 the band beyond description.
I was glad Bruce joined in the fun as as GD stepped up their game with his inspired playing.
