Bigger than a drive-in movie

Forums:

Went to a drive in movie last night.  They were showing Raising Arizona, which I hadn't seen in ages.

We got there a half-hour early and realized that was a mistake.   We ended up being put into the second to the last row and didn't realize there was a live band opening.   Didn't catch their name, but it was a really good bluegrassy country rock band.  Anyway, the movie was a blast and the whole thing was fun.  Started to rain during the show, so had to put my windshield wipers on every now and then.   The only downside was the people in a nearby car were smoking cigs like a chimney and the smoke managed to get into my car which was nasty.

Have any of you folks been to the drive in lately?

That's a good story!  Are those the ones at South Waterfront / Zidell Shipyards?

Haven't been, but want to go.

Roadtrip opportunity: Yonder Mountain String Band just announced 2 new drive-in shows in Ft. Collins in early October.

This was up at the Expo Center and it was done in collaboration with the Hollywood Theater.
