Bernie Is the Opponent Trump Wants

The president has a game plan to win the election. A Sanders nomination is just what he needs.

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/01/trump-bernie-sanders-sociali...

Yep, just like Ali wanted Liston

quoting david frum automatically discredits everything. jesus.

have we really forgotten?

and yelling socialism just doesn't work, obama 2008 anybody?

From the above article:

If you think socialism is important enough to risk losing the election, vote for Sanders. But if all you want is a progressive government—one that offers a public health insurance option, makes college more affordable, and mobilizes the country against climate change—you’re a lot more likely to get it by nominating a pragmatist. It feels good to vote for the candidate you admire most. But if Sanders wins the nomination and Trump wins the election, you’ll have four more years to feel the burn.

surf, biden is that candidate?

the guy who has tried to cut SS for almost 40 years?

hahahahahahaha. yeah, ok.

It don't matter my friends --

Todays Republikans Are The Scum Of Humanity

But

Todays Democrats Are Terminally Fucking Nutless + Stupid

So we all know how this is gonna end up in Nov  ->

Evil will always triumph, because good is dumb - Dark Helmet

I left the party because of people like Raz and Thod. Good luck, Surf.

>>>>>Evil will always triumph, because good is dumb - Dark Helmet

Evil will always triumph, because good is good.

Evil cheats because it is evil.

Good does not cheat because it's good.

Good loses.

I think skeptics are more concerned that he is Jewish. The socialist label doesn't help though.

Pretty stupid article. Seems like a desperate last heave for corporate dems. Pretty sad that they'd rather see trump in office than Bernie.

>>>>Trump was the Opponent Hillary Wanted

Remember way back to 2016 when countless pundits told us that Trump was unelectable and that he was the one the DNC wanted to run against? How did that work out?

vote for who you want in the primary. then vote Trump out in the general. It's pretty easy people.

older voters swinging towards sanders now b/c of biden's terrible record on SS. trump also saying he wants to cut it.

this.

>> vote for who you want in the primary. then vote Trump out in the general. It's pretty easy people. <<

this.

I still don't believe pheater will get off his couch to vote for the Dem nominee if it isn't his Bernie.

just vote bernie in the primary, ned. please don't hold the country back.

leave ned alone, he's making up his mind....

I will vote for whomever I want in the CO primary, heater.  What I will commit to is voting for the Dem candidate in the general.

Bernie's ability to beat trump, in my eyes, is not a slam dunk like you think.  It's OK to disagree about that now, as long as we come together in November. Can we count on your vote for the Dem nominee in November regardless of who it is heater?

Thanks turtle. He is a pest isn't he.

i don't think it's a slam dunk -- you said that, not me.

what i think is trump absolutely destroys biden, zero chance of beating trump.

where bernie actually gives us a chance. if this is strictly about beating trump, which you've stated countless times, then you vote bernie in the primary and general.

unfortunate you won't vote for our best chance to beat trump in the primary.

it's ok, turtle -- ned needs to be told who to vote for, the first few races will tell him bernie -- let's see if he does the right thing come super tuesday.

>> what i think is trump absolutely destroys biden, zero chance of beating trump. <<

Perhaps. Perhaps not.

I just might vote for Bernie in primary. I know I will if he's the Dem candidate.

>> it's ok, turtle -- ned needs to be told who to vote for <<

Hey toots...fuck you. I've asked nicely for the debate to be respectful you fucking asshole.

lol fuck you and your passive aggressive bs. you little bitch.

Good god you're an idiot. lol.

yeah at least i don't need to be told who to vote for. grow up buddy.

Right but you copy/paste BernieBro talking points all day. Got it LOFL.

so desperate. take some cbd and chill man.

P-heat, your delivery could use some work.  Geezus, dude.

It's not him it's you, 4W.

ned that's what you think? haha

ned's a victim.

ned is actually a great well-reasoned individual, we need him on our team.

here's a great interview about the DNC changing/rigging the game in the middle of the process. for the billionaire "former", cough republican bloomberg.

All heater knows is BernieBro bully tactics.

^ with blinders on

My point from earlier;  until the nicey nice dems get down n dirty in the mud with the swamp things, and beat the scum king at his own game, they ain't winning shit.

New Rule: Do the Wrong Thing, with Bill Maher

Eww, Bill Maher makes my skin crawl.

>>we need him on our team

You need a lot of people on your team. There's nothing wrong with that. It's an important election. Beating people over the head with opinions posed as facts won't get you there, nor will trying to shame people for "not wanting you to have nice things." There's a crazy arrogance among some Bernie supporters, and it's contrary to who Bernie is.

My issue isn't with his platform. I just think he'd be a shitty President, on a lot of levels.

stupid people do the same to me, 1wind

BernieBros are the least likely to support another Democrat in the general, after the YangGang.

So, when he gets his enventual trouncing on Super Tuesday (it's coming Pheat, prepare now, stock up on whatever you require, he will not win CA or many others, and he will not be the nominee) it's BernieBros that will likely cost us in the general.

Joe/Kamala 2020

good stuff guys.

ned you crack me up man.

>nor will trying to shame people for "not wanting you to have nice things."<<<

is that what I do? Cause people to feel shame?

it is a sarcastic oversimplification of what's going on, but interpret how you will.

I dunno if he can win the nomination or the race but I don't feel anyone else will.

i get the logic of just getting him out but our country and the world are fucked right now.

its absolutely disgusting to watch the dnc repeat their hubris yet again.

It doesn't shame me, Turts, but it's a tactic. Create a false narrative, and then put people down for not buying in to it.

The false narratives here are:

- Bernie is the only electable one

- Bernie will give us M4A

- Bernie will take care of my student debt

He wouldn't be able to do any of that shit.

He would write executive orders abolishing fracking, ICE, and a bunch of other things I agree with, but are hugely unpopular, especially in the swing states. That doesn't make him most electable. It would be great if the Bernie supporters around here were able to discussed issues and reality, rather than spewing hyperbole and half truths, and especially unfounded opinions posed as facts.

Hey Turtle,

Thanks for sharing that Democracy Now! link.

I now have a better understanding of how the Iowa caucus works.

Like or hate Bloomberg, he seems to be doing a good job of getting under Trump's skin (perhaps allowing other candidates to keep their hands clean for now?)

Also, I hope that he throws his fortune down to help the chosen Democratic candidate, whomever that may be.

I am here to discuss them with you bk.

it would help the world if the swing states would get the Mitch McConnell's of the world the fuck out of the way so we can attempt to make our nation better for its citizens.

It's total BS that the DNC is changing the rules to give Bloomberg a chance. That said, he sure as fuck gets under Cheeto's toupee.

The dnc looks desperate.

bloomberg is a fucking republican.

they are so freaked out that Bernie and people that care about the working class have managed to wrestle some semblance of power back from the corporate wing of the party.

The working class should just work twice as much and shut the fuck up.

Work more, then die = freedom

Define "working class."

I have a good friend who is the executive assistant to a CEO. After decades, she finally makes really good money.

She also works the same hours as the CEO, an average of 70 hours a week.

Are either of them working class?

“Bernie,” Wilson observes, “is every cliché the Republicans want to run against. He’s a North-Eastern liberal. He’s 375 years old. He just had a heart attack. He doesn’t scan as president. He scans as an associate professor of poetry at Bennington Community College.” Wilson reinforces his warning by citing the recent British election in which an unpopular populist goofball from an unpopular party named Boris Johnson obliterated Jeremy Corbin, who Wilson calls, “Bernie Sanders with an English accent.”

“I could make a hundred ads about Bernie Sanders without breaking a sweat,” Wilson asserts.

>Define "working class."<

people outside of major metropolitan super expensive locales that make under 6 figures.

sure jr. there will be tons made.

he also has the ability to slough some of that off and also  be able to hammer/yammer his points back loudly in the face of said opposition.

look, every corporate type in the country is scared to hell that bernie would be the president. they'd rather have trump OR any of the other dem nominess.

feel great when you drive over, or visit bridge/park or whatever that was build by the public works administration.

we CAN'T have nice things when we have socialism for wall st and the free market for the rest of us.

Thanks for the civility, turtle. It's not hyperbole when people say this is the biggest election of our lifetime.  We have to get it right and it means all of us have to humble ourselves a little and be adults if we don't get exactly what we want. Not taking your ball and go home.

>>people outside of major metropolitan super expensive locales that make under 6 figures.

Damn Turts, that's a pretty "us vs them" definition that is super exclusionary and divisive. By your definition, many plumbers and electricians, especially in union states, wouldn't be working class. What about some financial services guy who lives in Bloomfield Michigan and makes $250,000? They wouldn't be working class either. What if they have their own student loans, two kids in private colleges, with no financial support because of the income, and alimony payments. Are they not working class?

My point is, most of us are in the same boat. We either work or lose everything. Some of Bernie's solutions are amenable to the general population, but not all. It can't be forced on people because "it's best for them."

I just do t think much of the country is ready for a far left, progressive president. If there aren't that many in local and state governments, or even our federal government, what makes anyone think that one as president would fly?

ok, people who earn under a million dollars??

those successful plumbers and people who work hard get fucked in taxes because they make just enough to get it in the rear instead of said corporations and others.

look, i get it and will vote for my cat over trump but the time is now.

if it's not going to be bernie...is it warren? who?  help me ned....

..be sure to tip your waitress...

>>I just do t think much of the country is ready for a far left, progressive president.<<

Who would have thought our country was ready for Donald Trump?!?

>>>The working class should just work twice as much

well when you only work 24 hours a week and think everything is going to be handed to you. Then yea.

we welcome the hatred.

bernie stands w/ the working class. if that fucks your brain up, so be it.

he's our best shot at a fair society for all. no question.

centrists. i mean come on.

What's wrong with those headlines? In the first she states why Iowa is important. In the second she answers the question "What good are the Iowa caucuses?"

is this a stupid person's idea of some kind of media-burn? she's an opinion writer anyway so what the fuck.

get a grip

you forgot, "anyway". interesting.

spin it any way you got to.

Racket, solid burn up there...nice work. Haha

>>>>you forgot, "anyway". interesting.

yeah! And you forgot the whole article! INTERESTING!!!
