Who's Dave Hunter?

he designed all the posters on this page

Hoping they do a benefit like this for David Nelson

Cancer really sucks.

Show is this Friday

Sadly, he has passed away, but money raised will benefit his daughter, Jaz.

Im going with Crabneesh...

anyone else going?

I'll be there... I see that Disreputable Few are no longer listed as opening the show and Zero will be closing

I am, and will be bringing crab a treat

honor the fallen

 There is zero

And clearly zero reasons not to go

she would be a treat to see Canyon and Lisa show up

Right on, see you guys there!

talked with Greg Anton the other night

he is looking forward to Zero playing

I am amazed to say

we did see Lisa and Canyon for some fine music in the sun at TXR recently!

yay!

IMG_2985.JPGFinally got off my butt and framed this poster by Hunter

realize how prolific he was and how much of his work I have

((((love))))

I'm very much looking forward to seeing some of you at the GAMH!

Friday soon come.

PS: NugsTV will be streaming this live, or so it seems.

Also looks like there will be plenty of Kimock this weekend in the Bay Area (Though why are there so many things going on for Mother's Day?).

Great!

always love being in the GAMH with Zoner's!

We lost a dear friend, gifted artist and integral part of our musical family.

Tonight, we gather for a concert in his honor with friends, family and the loving musical and art community that surrounds him.  Join us at Art & Soul at the Great American Music Hall tonight (5/12) in San Francisco.  If you are not in the Bay Area, you can tune in worldwide to the LIVE WEBCAST on NUGS TV.

There will be three sets tonight... ZERO and SK&F will play plus opening acoustic set. There will be a silent auction, raffle and a poster art show by the Rock Poster Society.  Wavy Gravy will be the master of ceremonies with visuals by Johnathan Singer.

Dave was not only a gifted visionary artist, brother & friend, but most importantly, he was a devoted father.  Proceeds from the concert and webcast will benefit his daughter Jasmine 'Jaz' Hunter.

Sold Out!   Yay!

Spoke with Lisa Fierro who said some very special items will be available at the auction. Bid-dy up...

i got a preview of one of the very special items for the auction... sueshi donated a sweet pic of Kimock and Vega.

Sounds to Be a Great Time

NugsTV will be streaming this live

IMG_2990.JPGWe are at dive bar a block away

the bartender gave me this skeletal hair clip!

dead are everywhere and that's a good thing

I'm glad I got the stream, a great show and a touching tribute to a cool dude and artist (who I never met).  Zero's on now (first song) and I can't name thes song they're playing becase it's been a long time since I've listened to Zero.  Here's a setlist so far from what I can gather:

Steve Kimock & Friends

Wavy Gravy Intro >

Amazing Grace

Standing on the Moon (Jessica Fierro)

I Shall be Released

Memorial thoughts

Goin' to California (Instrumental during slideshow)

Zero (Trio)

?? with Pete Sears

I guess Pete's in the lineup tonight!!  And another guitar player I don't know.

I like it.

Miles Kimock on other guitar

Pete was in early-era Zero

I remember when Pete did SKB but never knew he was a formal Zero member... wild!  Pete always brings it, and I think keys are his best idiom, despite his bass baddass status.

Roshambo, they love to get their fingers in your hair.
