I lived in the Slope from 1979-1993 I guess before it was so hip, there wasn't ant live music around then. Anyway, about the Bell House. Is it a good venue? Sound ? Seats or Standing? Parking on the streets? I'm thinking of going to see The Blasters on May 9th and wanted some info before I get the tickets. I used to know a record shop owner there back in the days but lost contact with him after the shop closed

Haven't been there in a few
Haven't been there in a few years, but there was street parking. Inside was two rooms basically, one a bar area and the other a stage and GA setup ( 4 walls and nothing else)..have never seen a seated show there..

My wife and I saw Jimmie Dale
My wife and I saw Jimmie Dale Gilmore with Dave Alvin there this year. She also saw Robyn Hitchcock there at a different time.
Great venue. Small and intimate. Got there early, parked on the street right in front of venue. We had seats. Standing room also available. I would imagine each artist has its own arraignment regarding seating. I believe the Bell House is big on comedy performances.

Don't know if they ever record video. If so, you might catch a glimpse of the room that way.
