Bart/Henry's Obituary

Forums:

This is the obituary that appeared in the Nevada City Union this morning. BeNice said "feel free to share on Viva". She also said, "I'm okay, holding on top of the  wave."
Sent me a picture of them that I'll post soon; I'm having technical difficulties with it appearing sideways.

Henry passed away at his home in Grass Valley on February 1, 2018. He was 63.

He was born on May 28, 1954 in New Jersey. Henry was a former resident of South Lake Tahoe. Henry's approach to life was both bold and beautiful. He was a prominent music lover and enjoyed gathering with friends to share common musical interests. Henry was an eclectic artist who loved taking found objects and giving them new life as beautiful works of art, many of which he created to display in the lovely garden which he and his wife Margie tended together. Henry was known for his kindness and generosity and was a great ambassador for California.

Henry was a lifelong member of KVMR, a founding member of BONC, and an active supporter of both the Briarpatch Co-op and the Center for the Arts.

So beautiful - Thank you.

This is Bart as Marge and Benice as Bart, Halloween 10 years ago. It gave me a much needed laugh.

Thought about Bart a lot today. Miss him. Love and respect to BeNice.

heartbroken heart Fare Thee Well Bart ......

i am really bummed i never caught up with bart - there are not many foothill zoners hanging around. im kind of a fair weather foothill resident, but id been living there off and on since i was 15 and i always appreciated bart making the presence of nevada county known on the zone. kvmr is one of the last great public radio stations in the state. knew a really far out guy that used to do a show on there called "the global kitchen" and that was my first real exposure to non mainstream public radio, good old kvmr.

good luck on your future travels, my man.

Since KVMR just started their fund drive on the 5th, it might be the right time to make a donation in Bart's name,
